From having one 'apprentice' goalie I now see that the Beeb say that we're after a Manchester United goalie named Johnson. Presumably as well as Vlad. It never rains.!

Terry the red

He will be a loan player if we get him, so Vlad will not get to play unless injury occurs.

Vlads playing upfront! He has a better scoring record than Vellios.

Within twenty minutes of the new season starting, Burton crock our No1 goalie, and I am worried that I haven't seen Henderson make one decent save yet. Some of the posts mention letting in four goals to weak opposition, but our main keeper hasn't let in any yet! What's happened to Evtimov, we need him because Henderson doesn't look ready and we'll suffer at Brighton.

Henderson was very poor against Alfreton and reacted badly to 3 kids behind his goal first half that shouted "nice haircut" to him.
he was swearing and arguing with them.

2.) 11 Aug 2016 16:48:16
Full capacity back at the city ground!

3.) 11 Aug 2016 18:05:20
He'll come good he always looked decent at charlton. Just a keeper finding his feet, thinking he's going to be reserve and getting thrown on in first 20 mins of season a bit of a shock. COYR.

4.) 11 Aug 2016 18:59:05
It never bothered Darlow, Darrenforest.

I have just seen on Sky News that 'with only 29 days to the new season', Forest have had the City Grounds capacity reduced to ZERO because we do not have a safety certificate! Is this another case of negligence?

terry the red

1.) 08 Jul 2016 18:09:55
It's why the takeover is happening as soon as we know who is in charge of the club the certificate will be sorted and the man in charge will deal with it chill.

There isn't a take over the Greeks have left the building.

And scource of this post Jeremyforest😎.

4.) 08 Jul 2016 23:20:15
Oj71 there is a slim chance this will go though. Very unlikely indeed never was. Doesn't take a genius.

5.) 09 Jul 2016 03:34:13
Another non-story we just need to nominate a person to hold the certificate!

Hi Ed,
Could you (or some other knowledgable person) please tell me the length of the loan for Gary Gardener. Basically (if it were to happen) would he still be available for the play offs, or would AV recall him before then?

terry the red

{Ed001's Note - he has signed until the end of the season, which would include play offs.}

1.) 11 Mar 2015 18:41:54
That's great news. Thank you

Having watched us get robbed of two points yesterday, can someone explain why the can (and has) stopped the game to point out something the ref and his cronies missed, but isn't apparently able to counter two wrong offside decisions and a dodgy penalty award. You certainly can't blame the team for this result - I thought the effort and spirit were good, but the decisions were something else.

terry the red

1.) Well said. Thought the pen was a blatant dive. As he was looking for the leg to trip over. Should have been a booking not a pen. Also the co comentaor said it was messy and scrappy, now that sounds like a formidable strike force lol

2.) Watching it in the ground I thought it was a pen, but on the replay it does look like the leeds player deliberately kicks fox's leg rather than fox catching him.
However it was a tackle fox didn't need to try and make in the first place

3.) Rutland red- add Scooby to the midfield and I think we've got promotion sown up 😊

Is there any news yet of Cohen's latest injury. Would be tragic if he was out again so soon after his return

terry the red

1.) Last time Cohen did cruciate sure he was stretchered off. He walked off so hopefully not as bad.

2.) Not seen or heard anything. needs time for swelling to go down before a scan. he needs a little bit of luck because he's been a credit to forest since he's been he. he is what all footballers should be like, always giving 100% and not moaning about the bad stuff. in my eyes he's a forest legend, not because he's the best footballer as he isn't but because of his professionalism.
Fingers crossed he gets the bit of luck he deserves. if it does end up being bad news we should defo do something at the next home game to show him how much he's valued at the club.

3.) Last time he did his knee he carried on for a couple of minutes the walked off so it's not a sign of it not being as bad.

4.) Having scan this afternoon

There's a report quoting the club, saying that the two we hope to bring in before the season opens are likely to be Kevin McDonald (Warburton thinks he can get a much better price), and 'probably one from a Premier league club'. He was asked will they be signing or loans and he said possibly one of each depending on negotiations. Sounds promising!

Perhaps not! On the Forest Club site it's announcing that Andreas Bouchalakis has signed a three year contract - not a one year loan as widely reported. So could he be the new midfielder arriving imminently?

Regarding bringing in a defender or two, I've seen speculation about Michael Dawson returning now that Hull have been relegated. He'd bring a bit of muscle - possibly too much!

Until last night I was moderately happy with GB, but I thought the team at K. O was wrong, which called for substitutions after their first goal. At the very least I expected one or two of our new strikers to come on for the second half. Nothing. Brazil just didn't react at all and naturally the situation got worse. When the three musketeers did enter the arena things changed, and we can only imagine now what might have been. In my estimation Brazil cost us three priceless points because he fielded the wrong starting eleven and then did nothing to correct his error. Next manager please!

Ed001 - My point really is that Fawaz has taken a (deserved) pounding for a while and now I thought it would be justice if some of those who shouted loudest (and longest) on here just took a moment to acknowledge that the man has been listening.

terry the red

{Ed001's Note - let them do that in their own time mate. Maybe they are waiting to see if it is a flash in the pan or not? Who knows, but a heartfelt apology that is truly meant is worth far more than one someone is pressured into giving.}

Personally I was horrified at the strong-arm tactics that Cardiff employed. As for the Icelandic thug who pinned our goalie down so that he couldn't move, he'd have been arrested if it had happened off the field. You can't convince me that it wasn't a foul and that the second 'goal' should have been disallowed

Henderson (together with Smith) are nowhere near ready for Championship football. They should go out on loan and learn their trade at some other club. Last night against Chelsea I had to follow the game on Sky Sports text. They said, quote, 'The goalkeeper won't be happy with his positioning', for the opening goal: 'The ball slips through Henderson far too easily and into the net', for goal three. We know that we have defensive problems, but the effect would be mitigated if we could depend on our goalkeeper. I know we tried to sign an experienced goalie, and failed through no lack of effort, but it should be a priority when the opportunity represents itself. Perhaps last night would then have been 3-1 or better.

Does anyone know why we haven't offered Eric Lichaj a new contract (if only a short extension) . Forest player of the year last season; Successful cup winning USA international, and a loyal hard working defender who scores the odd (important) goals. He would add some experience to the team, and yet he appears to be out of favour with the new management. I'd prefer Eric to stay rather than buy Gary Gardner. Anyone know what's going on here?

And yet another report says that Boro' are intent on 'smashing' the Championship this coming season, and have made bids totalling £23mill for Braithwaite and Britt. They say the money is split £9m for the Dane and $14 for Britt.
If we help them to romp to the top of the league by selling Britt to them then we must be insane! I could just about come to terms with him going to a Premiership club, but to have him help to sink us would be absurd.
Preferably we should announce that Britt is going nowhere.

When is the transfer window due to close, and we can finally uncross our fingers?
