Think we'll get a result at Sunderland, Matt mills had been rested and will now lead us to victory over them and wolves

Forestforever79

1.) 10 Sep 2017 08:56:27
Unless we've gone into another downward spiral again. We seem to start and sometimes finish seasons ok but lose it in the middle. As in previous years NFFC have little consistency whether it be not having the right players, not using the right formation or just not being good enough. We will give time to MW but as I said earlier this season the warning signs are already out.

2.) 10 Sep 2017 09:07:57
I am not complaining here and feel that the club under new owner and MW is at its best it's been for several years. However what I don't understand is that they have failed to strengthen the team in the really obvious areas. It was clear that we needed a GK with Championship experience a LB and a CB who could provide experience and stability to our back four. I love the team when they are going forward but when defending and when Smith is in goal it fills me with dread and I just think "ok, who will make the mistake this time and hand the opposition a goal scoring opportunity on a very large plate". MW must enter the loan market and work his magic to find the players we need to strengthen the team or this will continue to happen every game.

3.) 10 Sep 2017 09:52:13
There is no loan market. Can only sign players during transfer windows. Now have to wait until January

4.) 10 Sep 2017 10:05:29
It's not the players, it's the team selections and formations
One up front and BB on the wing?
Eric on the bench and Vellios not even getting a sniff?
Not even looking for defenders during the market?
Warbo is the problem I'm afraid

5.) 10 Sep 2017 10:12:54
Free agent?

6.) 10 Sep 2017 11:29:10
Velios and eric?? Mystery to me. Our crossjng is woeful even at set pieces. Eric drives us forward with momentum and delivers good balls, defencively better than we put out. Hobbs if he stays fit is a must and should be captain. Little passion yesterday other than BenO. In possesion we were turgid with no direction just sideways for the sake of keeping posession. Warbo is flawed and will lose the dressing room. The removal of clough was harsh as he was just getting into the game and bouch just tip tapped the ball, he did unleash two great shots but the game was gone by then. If you want to plsy the ball out from the back you need footballers. Weds just put an extra man up top to pressure our feeblede fenders in posession. Plan B should have been murphy on earlier alongside cummjngs and more route one so our defence could re shape quicker. Losing is part of the game but the manner in which we lost yesterday was very poor.

7.) 10 Sep 2017 18:51:19
We just cannot afford to keep playing 3-5-2!!! We don't have the personnel to play that formation,an inform Carayol can take a couple of players out of a game, allowing space for Dowell's,and yes even Clough to do their thing. look how Britt hoovered up the chances from Traore??? No one could handle him.

8.) 10 Sep 2017 19:49:29
Help me out folks, is this an NFFC rumours page? Or is it an NFFC I think I'm a better manager than Mark Warburton page? Get a grip lol

9.) 10 Sep 2017 20:55:41
This team reminds me of the one where we had 6 bloody strikers. Far too top heavy. Great teams start at the back with a solid base. We never look like not conceding goals, and that's not how great teams are built. Keeper is average, defence is not right, and our midfield just want to score goals. what also concerns me is the amount of times warburton changes formation every single game . What that does is confuse players and the strategy that I hope has been worked on all week then goes out of the window. STOP conceding goals from set pieces. STOP bloody changing formation. GET a solid defence and maybe call name derbgetting a leader in the team. There's something wrong when we have Worral as a captain when he's so young and should not have the burden at that age

10.) 10 Sep 2017 21:27:38
I of love how many 'experts' we have on this page, many of whom they could do a better job that our manager.

Tell you what, pull up your trousers and give it a fucking crack, see how far you get!

Fact is, we are looking a million times better than have been for some time. Yes it will take a little time for the players to gel and to grips woth the style of play MW wants, and which we all want if we are honest, so back off. Give them a little time, a few weeks at least, and let's see how it goes.

Or carry on whining like bitches and ostracise the team at a time when we should be getting behind them.

Your choice

11.) 10 Sep 2017 22:45:42
RAP, I've no doubt everyone on here is behind the manager and the team and want us to do the best we can, but the lessons about our porous defence over the last few years do not seem to have been learned - you don't have to be an expert football manager to see that. All we are saying is that we are of the opinion that our shortcomings let us down and need to be addressed, no-one is whining or calling for anyone's head. This is rumours/banter site and people should feel free to say what they like whether others agree with their feelings/views or not. We don't need to be told we are whiners or letting the players down. Growing up as far as I remember is not a choice, it just happens or it doesn't.

12.) 11 Sep 2017 08:16:56
Well win a few well lose a few we've got 9 points Fulham have lost one but drawn most better defence, but whoes got the most points?
Give it time,it's a long season
Look at villa, and Brum and some of you think we have problems?

13.) 11 Sep 2017 09:38:44
Comparing our current position to last season when we nearly got relegated is irrelevant. What concerns most here is the fact we can't defend. It's great having wing backs who shoot forward and great at passing. Good defenders know when to hoof it, and when to play it. Every game I know we will gift a goal to opposition team. We have kept out two of our best players out of the team it seems to justify players MW has bought. Carayol was a player I was looking forward to seeing this year but he's hardly played. Same with Eric and vellios. Not convinced yet but we do have to give him time

31 Aug 2017 21:20:18
Dodoo a no no according to a rangers journalist , so looking like that's it for this window.
Hobbs going nowhere either.

Forestforever79

1.) 31 aug 2017 22:29:16
dead as a dodo then

2.) 31 Aug 2017 22:40:24
He's gone to Charlton anyway

31 Aug 2017 20:56:39
Mcginn unlikely to happen according to Taylor, I'm happy with that can't see where he would improve midfield .

Forestforever79

30 Aug 2017 15:25:54
Drinkwater has put in a transfer request,so if there's any substance in the Osborn rumour, then that should get the ball rolling.

Forestforever79

1.) 30 Aug 2017 15:44:41
Nothing is likely to happen now, time is against the club, if we sell Osborn the price of any player at a club we are in negotiations will automatically rise with the figure we would get for Osborn.

23 Aug 2017 23:02:40
This is the year.
We've had the main man who could walk on water, the fish are in the Trent.
Then along comes the man with loaves.

Forestforever79

1.) 24 Aug 2017 01:04:26
And we have those who provide the whine.

2.) 24 Aug 2017 01:22:00
Lol, great stuff Trickies, my Toon mate ain't happy!

Well done Forest, anyone watching the next round draw in China? zzzz.

3.) 24 Aug 2017 07:07:17
Chelsea away.

4.) 24 Aug 2017 07:33:43
Great performance offensively again. The way we moved the ball for the first goal was world class. That said, we can't rely on scoring 3 goals every game. Fox was poor last night as a CB, didn't get close enough to his man on both the Newcastle goals. Please MW bring in one CB to sure it up a bit at the back. As supporters we've known for a couple of seasons now that fox and mills just aren't up to it.

5.) 24 Aug 2017 09:33:00
To be fair both goals were really good ones from a Newcastle perspective, I don't think you can blame the defence as it was more the midfield, which without Vaughan and Cohen only really had Bouchalakis who can play as the defensive option. Osborn isn't a DM, and his strong point isn't his defensive capability so two strikes from the edge of the area both into the corner of the net is understandable.

This is how I see forest coming out of the wilderness.
The Greeks took over ,they planted the seed,it's been nurtured and allowed to grow by them with no interference, the breadman is harvesting those seeds and taking good care of our football club.

Forestforever79

1.) 16 Sep 2017 02:24:09
It's just a pity our back four are blown over, like wheat in the wind!!! 🌾🌾🌾

2.) 16 Sep 2017 09:09:04
Well Moses you will be parting the waves on the River Trent next and leading us all to the Promised Land. let's just hope your oracle powers do not lead us down the wrong path to the land of feast and famine?
COYR's

3.) 16 Sep 2017 11:02:33
Someone has been eating out of date food from the chav rack again. All that was missing from that post was Cantona's seagulls. Help I'm a prisoner in a toothpaste factory?? 3 points today lads, please. COYR.

4.) 16 Sep 2017 11:32:25
There are quite a few seagulls hovering over the City Ground!
A 3 point thriller today. Someone else's turn to wear the Superman suit and deliver?

5.) 16 Sep 2017 16:46:08
Del Boy dressed as Bat Man. by the sounds of it today!!!

6.) 17 Sep 2017 12:33:56
79 you are right but a little ahead I think. The fat greek farmer bless him has sown the seed but we are only just seeing the little green shoots popping above the soil so far. A long way from a crop and miles from harvesting bud lol.

13 Sep 2017 07:40:27
Well Jake 70 Warburton has saved his job,and at the first time of asking,so you can sleep easy for the rest of the season now.

Forestforever79

12 Sep 2017 23:42:54
Like I said we'll get a result at Sunderland Matt Mills was rested, brought back clean sheet and three points.

Forestforever79

1.) 13 Sep 2017 07:34:36
This could be seen as one of the most important wins of the season for sake of MW and the whole squad. We had lost 2 on the bounce and loosing 3 would have been a distater. At last a clean sheet. We can buld on this, what a difference a win make to the league table and confidence.

2.) 13 Sep 2017 09:14:09
Why would losing 3 be a disaster, losing away to a just been relegated Prem team would be no disgrace.

MW is fine in his job, don't be such a drama queen:)

09 Sep 2017 20:47:38
Here we go can't except defeat ,need to blame someone.
Get a grip .
Manager picks side and we go again Tuesday,,Be a different side again.
From your comments a lot want breadman out.
Give it time, it's a rollercoaster season,So fasten your seat belt.

Forestforever79

1.) 09 Sep 2017 21:02:10
Would be very short sighted to sack him. Ridiculous in fact.
Ask yourself who would we get that's better ?

2.) 09 Sep 2017 21:45:33
Ben b us out of his depth, has no tricks and little balance when ball on wrong foot. Delivered nothing always a side pass. Dirikwa cannot defend and was poor going forward. Bouchalikis showed little forward inclination. Fox was disinterested and strangely motivated. Hobbs very good, worral cannot defend let's strikers get across him time and again. Ben o was the best for us, bridcutt was ok but and will get better. Mckay was quite ineffective but tried, cummings got poor service. But this whole thing about playing it out from the back???? You need competent ball players and not a calamity keeper. If you play away and TRY to play it out guess what the opposition know this and will leave 3 up top to pressure the defence so hence nervous on the ball at the back. Hobbs got through which is great i would defo try mills next game with hobbs. Btw i watched on telly so sometimes the perspective is warped. Well taken goal but it was all we really offered going forward!!!!

3.) 09 Sep 2017 22:04:02
Hobbs needs Manchienne at side of him.

4.) 09 Sep 2017 23:44:11
Hobbs usually needs two crutches at the side of him.
He wasn't good today and that's being kind

09 Sep 2017 19:04:09
Been saying all along no matter who plays in defence we will concede.
All the Matt Mills haters who blame him for all goals conceded, take a moment to reflect.
So who is responsible today?

Forestforever79

1.) 09 Sep 2017 19:08:22
Worral is having a shocking game

2.) 09 Sep 2017 19:08:54
Mills is and always will be crap!! The rest are only a kick in the arse behind him!!!

3.) 09 Sep 2017 19:21:10
we hav nt got a playmaker like andy reid but i still think mills should take some of the blame.

4.) 09 Sep 2017 19:21:16
The gaffer!

You play to your strengths and that means recognising what players are good at and going with that.

This lot cop and change and walk around looking bewildered.
Not one of them looks like they know what they are doing because of the pathetic passing it out of the back.

Funny thing is we scored from a goal kick down the wing and had nothing else all game.

Pathetic.

5.) 09 Sep 2017 19:22:03
Hobbs should be skipper. I am afraid joe has much to learn. Playing out from the back utter suicide so flimsy and worried in possesion.

6.) 09 Sep 2017 19:23:00
Matt Mills, because he was not playing.

7.) 09 Sep 2017 19:25:17
Welcome back no 22!!!

8.) 09 Sep 2017 19:28:31
No22 what strengths what a load of crap blame the manager that is turning this club around

9.) 09 Sep 2017 19:31:19
We ain't got a decent centre back at the club. Worrall is a lovely lad and Forest through and through but he's a big clumsy oaf who's got zero pace and no posititional sense and makes several mistakes every game. We will lose more than we win with him in the side. Wednesday were there for the taking at the start of the second half but the curse of the corner struck again and changed the game.

10.) 09 Sep 2017 19:37:59
He isn't turning the club around in the last two games?

He has a team of people off the pitch to turn the club around. He could do with some help in the dug out by the looks of him.

Pathetic.

11.) 09 Sep 2017 19:44:49
There are plenty of players good enough in the squad?

The manager is shocking and needs to realise his own error in playing out from the back. It is suicide!

WTF! Kick it up the pitch!!! Oh yeah we have a team full of midgets so we cant.

12.) 09 Sep 2017 19:48:58
It's not about personel,It's lack of understanding and organisation.
Bit disappointed in weir as he was quite useful as a defender,So should see the problem.

If you don't like the entertainment on offer, then don't watch,I do like it,it's a vast improvement on previous years and can only get better.
Warbo says after every game we need to improve in most areas,I can hear,he wants the ball moved forward faster,he wants a tighter defence,We are work in progress, great to hear and I'm with him all the way.
He's mixing the dough,be patient till the bread is made.

No I said we didn't need anymore midfielders we have 12 already and I've always said he wouldn't sign a centre back purely on how many were at the club.
Think you'll find that's right.

Nothing of the sort red, unlike you I trust Warburton and his judgment on match day and who he picks.
I don't try and tell him who to pick and how to play tactically, and wait for that moment mills makes a mistake so you can post nasty comments about him.
I forest through and through and go and enjoy watching week in and week out and meeting up with friends and family win, lose or draw.
We won at Sunderland which was a great positive, but you've done nothing but tell us Warburton and the players need to change,
Just give Warburton credit and mills some credit for being part of the team that kept a clean sheet.
Looking forward to tomorrow and 3 points
