Anyone claiming Freedman hasn't achieved anything is conveniently forgetting he saved us from relegation. I think he is deserving of a new contract for quickly assessing the limitations of our squad & fashioning a system to get results. 3 losses in 13 is more than adequate, anyone suggesting he starts well & fades is wildly speculating in a desperate attempt to throw a spanner in the works.

Relegation?do us a favour.we were 9 points off playoffs when he took over.

Spot on Cjay. uptheforest are you forgetting we were seven points above the drop zone having won 3 games in the last 21 when he took over. That is relegation form and as much as I love Pearce something had to change as we were only heading one way. If he had stayed in charge I am afraid to say we would most probably be in the midst of a relegation dog fight now. I so badly wanted him to succeed like most but something was obviously not right, dougie has put it right and deserves a lot of praise.

But only 7 points off the bottom 3 thus relegation was closer than the play-offs!!

I no what your trying to say but we wernt in the relegation zone.billy Davis saved us from relegation when we were in the dog fight at the end of the season, that's saving someone from relegation not predicting what will happen the saying he saved us.over the last two months derby have had relegation form does that mean mcclaren has saved them from relegation?

I agree he should have a new contract, but would have been happy to keep SP too. After 13 games there records are similar. I think the way forward now is to drop the loanees from the side, in order to assess the best forest side for next season and give game time (adding market value) to our very promising youngsters, then get DF's signature. Let's look forward to next season.

When DF took over the league was 28 games in.

Forest were 13-points off the Play-Offs and 7 points off relegation.

If SP was in charge for the remainder of the games we wouldn't of got another 9 points!

Achieved it without our best central defender in Hobbs & Britts goals too. Top man.

Some people should be more grateful for the singing, shouting and general optimism now felt on match days!

Ok, we haven't looked like Brazil these last few games but simple fact is we have NO STRIKERS! How do you hold a ball up with no strikers? Or hold midfield without GG?
Come on you moaners cut the guy some slack. He has done a miraculous job.

Well done DF for restoring some pride, passion, common sense, passing football (when we have 2 strikers) and some hope for the coming FFP seasons. BRILLIANT JOB!

Just to clear it up I'm not saying he's doing a bad job he's done v well since coming in.he dropped the ball a bit on Monday (also blaming the players didn't help) but he's done a good job.like has been said though he does well when he comes into the job but lacks and fails at the start of seasons.just like people say about our last manager,he goes into a job does well then fades as does dougie.you have to give him a new 1 year deal as starting again will in settle the players as they believe in what dougie is doing.proof is in the pudding as they say.

Unless Fawaz intervenes I'm assuming DF will be in charge next season. His main job over the summer will be to sort out whose contracts are ended and not renewed, who among the loanees he will keep or try to sell or loan out again, who among our youngsters need blooding in League 1 or 2, and which players form other clubs he can sign or loan within FFP rules. It is also important to keep our U18s and U21s moving up in terms of their leagues. We now have someone useful in charge of scouting and coordinating whom he seems to get on with, though no Director of Football seems to be on the cards. For the amount of time in the summer break he has this is an awful lot of management work, and all the players have to train and keep fit. Hobbs is back but we have no word on Reid or Cohen so I assume he has to rule them out of any equations. What do we think are the main prioritis then for the start of next season in terms of the welfare of the whole club?

Not moaning either. Just saying his and SP's records comparable, SP did have Andy Reid fit, but was without other players.

Give DF a deal. Play the youngsters. Gear up for next season
