So, we’ve got our man, excellent news!
So, the next obvious questions are ….
Firstly, who misses out in the starting back 3? Assuming Murillo is fit and Diomande is able to get match fit in our 2 forthcoming home friendlies, does it rest between Milenkovic and Cunha to miss out? Gut feeling says the Serbian will get the nod on the strength of his experience and leadership qualities.
But Cunha is the better ball player and will start us off getting forward in possession. Thoughts?
Secondly, does OG send Tyler Bindon and/or Abbott go out on loan?
Thirdly, do our expensive wingers Hutchinson and Bakwa (plus the likes of CHO) become largely redundant?

I think Bakwa moves on 100%.
If Og thinks he can mould McAtee into a CM, then we probably won't buy another CM, and Hutch, Ndoye, and Cho will be battling to start alongside MGW, behind whoever plays ST.

Tyler Bindon & Abbot need to go, period, along with Omar Richards, Yates, & the rest of the Championship deadwood that made a fortune for life just for turning up every July for the annual lets have a look at em merry go round before being dumped for the season again. Farcical.

Agreed, Larry.

I can't believe Yates is still here, Larry. He's obviously not interested in playing first team football anywhere, just collecting the money. Sad, really.

He puts a shift in???
You certainly can't deny that.

So do you, Rogie, but you still get paid the same & no more mate.

Absolute twaddle about Yates...

Yes, he does put a shift in. He always shifts it backwards & sideways or back to the goalie. We need to move on from Coopers troopers & build a team that can compete even off the bench when required. A quality 22 players needed.

Harsh.

A good Championship player to have in your team. I would have thought Nuno might have come in for him, Larry. But maybe he doesn't rate him that much.

He's been a good servant, but definitely not Premier League material. You never know, Dyche might get a League 1 job and he could end up going in for him.

I wouldn't mind Yates staying at the WFCG, he wears the shirt well, puts a shift in, and he breaks up play really well. I seem to remember it was Yates who put the cross in for MGW to get his hat trick against Burnley! Yates would be on my team sheet before a few of these newbies, who just want to pick up wages for no sweat!
COYR and Yatesey.

Everyone said the same thing about Johnson. But, as soon as he moved on to another Premier League club, he did nothing. I think he's ended up on the Toffees bench now. It's OK to feel loyal to youth players, but if we want to do well, and they're not good enough, bank the money from the sale and move onwards and upwards.
Not like we'd get a lot of money for Yatesy, but it would save us in wages.

I can only assume the Chuckle Brothers are posting windup stuff.
Their posts just tell me that they know nothing at all about football, short of actually saying "you know what? I actually know nothing about football."
Apart from a few isolated snippets on MOTD, I doubt they've ever seen Yates play. Or they have selective memory, and have conveniently forgotten how he has destroyed and bullied all-star midfields such as Liverpool's, for example.
Clearly, he was never going to displace the likes of Anderson or Sanghere. He doesn't have their incredible skill set.
But any coach would welcome him as a combative, hard-working, disruptive leader when the chips are down.
Like I've said on here, many many times, every great and successful architect needs a hod carrier before he can build anything..
France wouldn't have won the World Cup without Deschamps, Leeds without Hunter and Bremner (and Charlton), England without Nobby Stiles, Clough without McGovern, etc etc.
Pathetic, but entirely expected comments; it says more about attention seeking than anything of value.

Yates. Hunter, Bremner, Stiles, McGovern ? ? ? in the same breath. Next, you will be saying Dyche is as good as Sir Brian. ? ?

There you go again. Sometimes it’s better to say nothing and let people think you are a fool than to speak and let people confirm it.
Again, I see that Dyche and myself are still living in your head rent free Skeggs. I never mentioned him at all
I thought you were blocking me anyway……..
? ?????Nighty night, don’t let Dychey bite…..???

An interesting debate about the quality of the fringe players in the Forest squad & the need to move forward with better quality in reserve, & because you don't agree, Stokie, we are met with the usual extended word salad & insults.
If you don't agree, just put forward your counter arguments in the debate. That's what the site is all about.

So we know Bakwa is staying then? I base that on the reliability of predictions on this site.

Larry, you appear to have forgotten the Golden Rule of Banter mate. If you dish it out you’ve got to be prepared to take it. Kettle and Pot comes to mind. So, I’ll certainly not be accepting lectures or advice from someone with your track record ……
By the way, did it take you until 3. 30 am to come back with that one or did someone write it out for you? ?????
While I’ve got your attention, one of the daftest comments I’ve ever read ( and the most disrespectful regarding a great club servant ) is that Yates is a waster of a wage earner and is content to be on the subs bench and take the money.
As if it’s his fault he’s not selected. He’s a yotsl professional and always motivated to do a job whenever called upon. Again, shows how little you know.
Far from being rude I’m just defending a very good players reputation on here from the tide of ignorance and imbecility emanating from Skeggy.
You’ll be saying that professional footballers get seriously injured playing out of position next……..
