An entertaining match. Villa’s quick passing of the ball really put our more laboured approach to shame. Again we rode our luck. Maybe Villa were tired as most played last Thursday in Bologna. So what will
VP do this Thursday? Surely Sunday's game is significantly more important. So I would start with the same team as last Thursday including Wood up front.
Sadly Tiawo was not on the bench as he is both literally and figuratively head and shoulders above Jesus and even Wood atm.
Why does HO play on the left wing when he is left footed? He never today, went to the byline to cross always cutting in so is on his left foot. As a result he is ineffectual. Both MGW and Anderson shifted some ground today as did Ainia. Nico was a good choice as MofM and Sels saves kept us in the match. Would we have the same luck against Villa over two legs is uncertain. Whereas I think we should beat Burnley assuming we have a goal scorer up front!

McGinn is left footed, though.
Didn't seem to be a problem for him to run us ragged at times from the right wing.

I agree. Logic tells you that your wingers should operate on whichever wing so they hit the by line and cross with their dominant foot, ie, if you are a right sided winger your strongest cross is with your right foot.
Now, the great John Robertson, although could play with both feet, played on the left wing for Forest because his left leg was the stronger. His crosses are legend.

Nononuno
John Robertson was right footed.
That's why he took all his penalties with his right foot.
Though he was brilliant on his left as well. Other than George Best, I can't think of anyone better with both feet.
