Rumour is Fulham r considering a move for Henri lansbury

hairy84

1.) I saw that. I think it is a fans site where its reported and they seem to think he only has 12 months left on his contract (when we all know its 2 years). i'd take the rumour with a pinch of salt.
Anyone wanting him will have to come up with some real serious money if they want him.

{Ed034's Note - it is in a local rag in London. that is not saying there is any truth in it

2.) Sorry Ed you are correct!
Paul Taylor has also reported this on the bird site. He said that it may be that Lansury signed a 3 year contract with an option for another year.
I think its a case of wait and see.

3.) Money talks and if a club comes in with a good fee and higher wages his head will be turned. let's hope we are working on him as we speak.

4.) Its not going to be popular, but if the money is very good I would cash in, don't get me wrong henri is a real talent, but he needs to be on the pitch more than he is. I realise players get injured but it is only my opinion that henri is/or will become injury prone, and with an ageing and also injury troubled andy reid the last thing we need next season is great players watching and not playing. hope he stays but only if fully fit and wanting to play for forest.

{Ed034's Note - there is no reason to suggest he will all of a sudden become a player that spends most of his time on the treatment table.

5.) In 2010 he went on loan to norwich a week later a hamstring injury ruled him out for weeks. in 2011 he went on loan to west ham within a month he was ruled out for 3 months with a knee injury as things stand ed henri lansbury would not pass a medical for any club, such is the seriousness of his fractured back. I know injuries happen but the history is there. I just think he is a bit fragile ed. add reid, cohen, and vaughan in to the mix and we are dicing with disaster again.

{Ed034's Note - I see no reason why this injury will hold him back next season.

6.) Fulham are going to struggle next year as they need to clear out big earners and introduce the youngsters.
London is an attraction for Lansbury but he can do better than Fulham!

7.) I find it highly unlikely we will ever get a full season out of Lansbury, Hobbs and Wilson. Back injuries in sports are the worst ones as they never truly heal. I sustained a back injury when I used to do the competitive high jump and I could never perform the same since. 35 years later and it still bothers me now and again.
I believe Hobbs and Cohen will end their careers next season, and this is nothing to do with age, simply their injuries. A great shame but we cannot be building a team around Lansbury, Wilson, Hobbs and Cohen otherwise we will end up in the same situation as this season and nobody wants that.

Would be very stupid of us to sell him. When he got injured we suffered badly. Who would replace him dorrens maybe apart from that who is there of that type of midfield player of that standard who would come to us?I can't think of anybody can you?

9.) He's played 60 league games in 2 seasons for us. That's pretty decent. You don't expect outfield players to be playing every single game.

Not sure why we'd want to get rid of him if he can play 30/46 games in the Championship.

10.) I wouldn't sell him either, but I would expect him to play more than 30 games in a season. You cannot afford for one of your best players to be missing for a third of the campaign. Like NL said we missed him when he was injured. If he is a little delicate I think the key is to omit him from certain games, capital one and fa cup perhaps.

11.) 15 May 2014 08:16:22
fulham are going to be near the top next year. Whould be stupid of us to make them stronger.

Wow how can people say we should get rid of darlow because he's been shocking I would love to know wot games HE has bin shocking in because I can't remember seeing one! he's bin one of the players of the season in his first full season! I get the impression that the people who turn on our players because they have a few bad games don't actually go to the games and watch the team! Sorry rant over!
