Unfortunately this is pretty much the best kind of signing we can do. And we only have Walker and Blackstock until Assombalonga is back.
And he is only on trial, not signed. If he's really got nothing to offer, hopefully Dougie can see that.

The fee and wages for Rhodes would be far, far more tan we can pay under our restrictions. Ridiculous rumour.

He wanted the job for longer than the end of the season. Fair enough but I think it's a good opportunity that Dougie took. If Dougie doesn't do well, he can say 'what do you expect, look at the situation I walked in to', if he does do well he can get a new contract at higher wages or maybe a job somewhere else.

Er, what? 'Chairman' is used all the time, everywhere. Nothing to do with PC at all.
Anyway, Peterborough chairman needs to pipe down. It's not great that we've missed a payment, but this must happen all the time in football, and most people are professional enough not to spout off on Twitter.
Not worth the controversy by any means. Even if he was a proven 20 goal Champo striker, I'd be against it, but he isn't. If we're that desperate for a striker then play Veldwijk or Kyle Walker.
