Anyone heard any leaks on PSR/ FFP? I can't believe that the EPL can keep it secret.

Sharkey70

1.) 13 Mar 2024 17:22:31
Carlo says he knows someone who knows the club knows. So it must have leaked to the club, but nobody has sold the story to a newspaper.

2.) 13 Mar 2024 18:34:38
Might know by Friday, but wouldn’t hold my breath lol.

3.) 13 Mar 2024 22:04:07
Not sure about any leaks with ffp and psr but the lawyers will find plenty of holes in it ?.

4.) 14 Mar 2024 17:18:28
Minus 10.

5.) 14 Mar 2024 21:00:54
Minus ten not possible Derby, you only get nine if you go into administration, so how can any club get docked ten?
Which is why Everton got four back
The ultimate crime is administration.

6.) 16 Mar 2024 13:22:21
10 pts is that what wish for Derbyblack!

Get back on your own site Sheepy.

Well, I have had a few sherbets tonight, and am nervous about the next 11 games. reassure me reds that we can pick up a few points, avoid major psr sanctions and survive?

UTR

Sharkey.

Sharkey70

1.) 10 Mar 2024 07:23:05
It would help if we knew what the sanctions were, every time we drop points it must make the players anxious that they are running out of games. On the pitch we will stay up, but the points reduction?. May do for us?.

2.) 10 Mar 2024 07:56:23
Our luck (particularly with referees) our luck should change.

3.) 10 Mar 2024 08:08:43
I can't see past the first game and nervous about that. Cliche I know but I'd take a draw before we kick off. If we start predicting the other results, we'll stress ourselves out.
Regarding PSR, the league have painted themselves into a corner.
The treatment of Everton and Forest v Citeh and Chelsea is inexcusable. The likelihood of court action, involving Referee's, the PL, relegated clubs will damage the PL brand. Appeal hearings after the season's end, an absolute farce.
I also hear they will be scrapping the PSR in it's current form, so how can you sanction some clubs but not others?
Maranakis has employed the best legal advice, so my head says 6 points and watching the rest of the season through my hands.
My heart prays for a fine and transfer ban. FTID.

4.) 10 Mar 2024 09:18:26
Be great to get a win today and then onto payback as man city beat Liverpool I bet if anything happens var or referee wise it will go man city's way and you will have all the Liverpool fans crying and calling the var and ref cheats ?? and to top it off they will go from top to 3rd ?.

5.) 10 Mar 2024 11:52:15
I used to work with a guy who is a Liverpool fan. he's in our WhatsApp Group, he was completely unrepentant last Saturday, and gloated when we lost, and laughed in the manner in which we did. so I hope they get the humiliation they deserve, God help him if they do.

6.) 10 Mar 2024 12:01:24
I'm telling myself that our points deduction, if it's the 3, 4 or 5pts being banded about will be more or less negated by what Everton have coming. Then it's a mini league to the end of the season with us, Everton and Luton. Burnley and Sheff are gone no matter what.

7.) 10 Mar 2024 12:02:54
Lol, I missed the important bit on my last post.
Which I'd expect us to win!

No CHO in the team today.
Felipe in.
Yates out.

Any views on the team lads?

Sharkey70

1.) 17 Feb 2024 14:43:39
BBC says CHO starting?
Happy with side, Danilo for Yates only change from my pick (AFCON players absent). Pace everywhere, let's hope for an attacking performance.

2.) 17 Feb 2024 14:54:24
You been on BBC? ???.

3.) 17 Feb 2024 14:57:42
CHO is in the team?, if Monteil was fit he would be in. Midfield and three of the defence all speak the same language also the manager. might be important.

4.) 17 Feb 2024 16:49:48
DTP, team news only thing they don't get wrong.

5.) 17 Feb 2024 17:26:59

Sharkey70

Everton to go 1-0 down in about the 70th minute!

2.) 10 Feb 2024 16:30:14
Forest draw.
Everton Drawn.
Luton Win.

3.) 10 Feb 2024 17:36:01
Forest draw, Everton and Luton loose. OK I cheated ???.

29 Jan 2024 23:25:30
Do you think all this MP questioning will lead to a smaller penalty for Forest. FFP is changing and not fit for purpose. I hope so, I pray so, as I don't want to lose our PL status. but I am worried. Any views?

Sharkey70

1.) 30 Jan 2024 09:26:33
Sharkey, I have a view, no matter how many points deducted, we are attempting to compete in a league that is so corrupt, it even makes it obvious to the world that they’re doing it. Teams come up with a spending handicap so they cannot compete with the mid table teams and the mid table teams without European football cannot compete with the top six. Chelsea with long contracts, and Man City with a hundred and fifteen counts of financial irregularities hanging over them have both found loopholes, which in my book is still cheating as they are seeking ways to bend the rules. These so called big sides will prosper whilst we will be dealt with swiftly. As for points deductions, why isn’t it set in stone? Our club should know how many points we are going to lose, not let the premier league make up an amount to suit them!

Ironically it’s Chelsea and Man City that were mediocre sized clubs who had won only a handful of trophies between them until being bought by sheiks and oligarchs and being allowed to spend unlimited amounts of money, now they don’t want anybody else to spend the money they have ?‍♂️?‍♂️ it stinks and it’s unfair, so why would anybody want to struggle year on year to just about survive in a league that is hellbent on keeping them down?

2.) 30 Jan 2024 12:20:23
Sharkey.
Forest will be made an example of.
The Profit and Sustainability method has proved worthless.
I understand the need for a club to be financially viable but to set a limit over 3 three year's is awful.
The allegedly so call big 6 will get away with their breaches.
Chelsea and Man City we all know have bent the rules and will go unpunished despite the 100+ infractions Man City have made.
The lower league club's will always be behind in ambition and finances making it an unfair advantage to more affluent Club's.
The Premier League/ FA are like the Tories.
They look after the rich club's and punish those club's are trying to compete.
Corrupt as they come unfortunately.

3.) 30 Jan 2024 12:51:31
Read about Mangala this morning, possibly Lyon. I think we would miss him even though he seems a bit clumsy with the ball at times.

4.) 30 Jan 2024 14:40:19
Sharkey, Ace and Trump, excellent posts. ???.
I make a few general comments……
Firstly, the last thing the Prem League want is Parliamentary oversight and regulation of any kind. MPs of all parties would want much more equitable distribution of the Prems enormous wealth to the lower leagues which is complete anathema to the Prem.
The Prems policy to fend this off is to offer more money to the lower league clubs but only a relative pittance and, sadly for us, to make an example of certain clubs to show they can impose discipline without Parliamentary legislation.
This practice comes from the Romans where “decimation” of a mutinous legion would involve picking out a tenth ( hence decimal) by lottery at random then executing them in front of their (luckier) mates. In the words of the song “We are the one in ten”!
Having said this, I entirely blame Mr M for our predicament. We should have erred on the side of caution like the other 16 clubs ( the other 3 being Everton, Man City and Chelsea ( though the latters new owners reported themselves to the Prem when they’d check Ambramovitchs books. ). He is either entirely innocent ( unlikely) or employs accountants who can't add up (also unlikely) or is a chancer who hasn't listened to the advice of his in house FFP and sports law legal specialist David Randle KC ( highly likely and definitely embarrassing to a pre eminent barrister).
Lastly, the Prems policy of fending off legislation is doomed to failure as even Tory MPs would be foolish to vote against an increase in funding to the local clubs of their constituents who voted them in. Plus, of course, General Election this year and Labour ( who are committed to redistribution both explicitly and ideologically) are a shoo ing for Government.
Too late for us though. We will be very lucky not to get points deducted “pour encourager les autres” ie to encourage the others ( from Voltaires “Candide” who’s eponymous character states “There is a country where it is considered good policy to execute an Admiral from time to time to encourage the others”. This was a reference to the recent naval court martial and execution of Admiral John Byng for losing a battle at sea to the French through, ironically, being too cautious, even though he didn’t lose a ship in the action and the casualties were equal on both sides. So, entirely innocent ( perhaps like us) but certainly over the top by the authorities.
I hope I’m wrong and they go easy on us but I doubt it.

5.) 30 Jan 2024 15:44:22
I believe the PL are in fear of big clubs bringing up Euro. super league rumours again which would quickly pick up pace.
On Mr M, he let his ambition, s overtake common sense and he is not a man to listen to anyone.
He generally rules by fear and is very demanding.
Cross him at your peril.
CARLO.

6.) 30 Jan 2024 16:04:04
Having read this twice now Stokey, and it is beautifully written, I am convinced we need you with the Forest KC at the hearing. With the club's barrister and yourself quoting historical comparisons, they have to let us off with a slapped wrist. (Like the way you slipped in Romans and Abramovitch in the same post. )

7.) 30 Jan 2024 16:58:43
I've read it twice stokey too and my insomnia us cured. Thank you mate.
Your bordum knows no bounds sir ???.

8.) 30 Jan 2024 17:15:39
Many thanks Norfolk, though it saddens me to post about our situation mate.
I guess if I did get to be invited to the hearing it definitely wouldn’t be KC and the Sunshine Band! ?☹️.

9.) 30 Jan 2024 16:58:43

Scores for tomorrow chaps? Big game.
Then Bournemouth. Time to push on.
I reccon a draw tomorrow and hopefully a Nuno win at B'mouth.

Sharkey70

1.) 30 Jan 2024 10:34:28
2-1 win against Arsenal 2-1 win against cheating Bournemouth we owe them one team full of Olympic standard divers!

2.) 30 Jan 2024 11:03:53
1-1 would be a great result.

3.) 30 Jan 2024 12:09:17
A win would be great as would a draw.
With our goalkeeping frailties I can see Arsenal nipping the win.

4.) 30 Jan 2024 15:16:02
My heart wants a Forest victory and i take a draw now. But we are not in good form and have too many players out injured or at the AFCON so my head predicts a win for Arsenal. 2-0 to the gunners.

5.) 30 Jan 2024 16:06:41
3 points from either game will do 4 points f4om both games even better.

Why is the Everton appeal taking so long? I am sat up and having a little of the Amber Nectar myself, might regret it tomorrow, but I am frustrated about the appeal as it will set a standard for us? Keep smiling chaps.
