Has there ever been an owner or Chairman who knew anything about actual football.
Most of them poke their big noses in when they shouldn’t.
It, s not as often said Their club, it belongs to us fans and most of them do it purely for prestige.
They want to have a dog and bark.
There are often good business people but just carp at football.
They should stay well out sight for the good of the club.

If it was MY money I wouldn’t spend it so frivolously and the club wouldn’t be be in a mess and we wouldn’t have had to sell Jonno.
I always say clubs belong to the fans, no club without us.

I think Frank Clarke knew quite a bit about football when he was Chairman, but not sure about business knowledge. Shouldn't the CEO and Chief financial officer deal with the business side anyway?

The whole thing is ridiculous in football, to be fair. Most businesses have to balance the books or make money somehow. Top clubs don't generally do that, they are run to lose as much as they can get away with.

CARLO Plain fact is marinakis family had the motivation and know how to make this money in the 1st place, they bought the club, and their money got us promoted, it’s a nice romantic thought to think of it as our club, but it really isn’t because we couldn’t afford to support it financially, it will always be our club allegiance wise, but unless you want to start picking up some of the bills that is the only way.

A certain Nigel Doughty was a forest fan and owner, who tried to stick within FFP when it all first came about and there was plenty of people slating him for not investing in the team or buying certain players when Mr Davies had his first stint in charge, he wanted this club to be self efficient so we didn't go in to the embargoes but fawaz put us in one with his spending.
