I am actually hopeful that we are at last adding qualities to a squad that were sadly lacking in parts last year. Just need to add a striker and ship out some of the journey men.

Beware Greeks bearing Portuguese horses.

2.) 08 Jul 2019 14:09:14
Time will tell Tyke. We are signing players nobody as ever heard of but as soon as a name is mentioned everybody is an expert. As for shipping out some journey men about 25 should do it. 👍.

3.) 08 Jul 2019 17:56:32
I mean I had heard of all of our new signings, always been a fan of ameobi, semedo has always performed well and ribiero and silva have always seemed pretty solid to me.

4.) 08 Jul 2019 19:14:59
And how do you work that out red they've only played a few games between them over the last season they struggle to make the first team as they go out on loan its another massive gamble let's hope we don't get stuck at the wrong end of the table and still we are short of fire power.

5.) 08 Jul 2019 22:10:41
Hi skegs I don't normally come on here but I've got my reservations about new signings. Hope I'm proved wrong but why all the Portuguese, was that o'Neill's nail in the coffin as maybe they were always lined up and he said no way, he was reluctant to play j. c for a bit so heirachcy said take it or leave it? Player revolt we'll never know the true story but that's history now. Nottinghambenfic forest football club springs to mind. As I said hopefully they'll be alright so bring on next season and hope it's a good one. Anyway fellow reds I'm finishing my j. d and coke before bed. I'll be there regardless every game. Cheers all.

6.) 09 Jul 2019 10:49:33
Never look a Portuguese player in the mouth, while riding Greek gift horses. or something like that lol.

I think there are too many detractors of young Nigel's managerial career. He has proved very adept at managing clubs and taking them forward on little to no budget. Given the right environment he will do very well at Forest.

1.) 28 Jan 2017 20:25:33
Previous records are no indication of how things will turn out in the next job. The Dutchman that Mourinio has replaced proves that.

2.) 28 Jan 2017 21:27:09
No matter who the next manager is their biggest problem is going to be fawaz, I hope it is clough not for his history with the club but the fact his teams are hard to beat and he gets 100% out of his players but given our situation I wouldn't come unless he has it in writing unless fawaz comes through for once.

3.) 28 Jan 2017 23:33:02
Deadeye you are quite correct. Until the poison has been removed from our once great club it is immaterial which manager eventually takes over the reins. If Clough has any sense he will see through Fawaz's Bull and stay at Burton.

4.) 29 Jan 2017 12:02:05
Deep down Nigel knows he has taken Burton as far as he can, that is the only reason I can see him coming to Forest. Personally if I was him I would stay at Burton. He will never get anywhere near to what his dad achieved.

What a pleasure 2 hour journey home that was last night. Pleased for Nuno pleased for the whole team. I thought the whole team worked hard and for each other. Could have been 5-0 at half time. Danilo is a massive upgrade on Sangare, if Chris Woods keeps scoring at this rate we will be fine. Whole team performance was good including our goalkeeper who made a couple of really good stops. No negatives from me, just a warm sense of satisfaction! Well done! Great post match interview with Nuno who is so level headed and just wants consistency, as we all do.

I know Sangare was awful yesterday, but to be honest, the whole team in the first half lacked any ambition. We need a bit more ambition from players other than simply playing it sideways or backwards. Is Kouyate injured? I'm not as downbeat as some, but at some point we need a collective performance. I did think Sels was very good and saved us a point yesterday, probably the first time this season I can say that about our goalkeeper! Agree we are better with MGW in a slightly deeper role, teams are setting up to stop MGW and so when he dropped into the deeper role he saw far more of the ball.

1.) 31 Mar 2024 12:42:22
Yes Sels had a good game- one super save from close range. Very impressed with that one. He looks way better than the other two keepers.
What worries me is the lack of confidence and spirit. Huff and puff yes, but no real gameplan or quality.
We need some man of the match performances from our better players and the rest to follow.
COYR.

2.) 31 Mar 2024 14:07:35
Posted about Wood yesterday, ha was balsa first half but teak the second, great goal. Nuno should stop talking about the importance of the supporters, it only worked when the team put a shift in and was winning, and this huddle before we kick off, and then start blaming one another after 10 minutes, if they ain't ready to fight for the shirt when they come out, they never will be!.

3.) 31 Mar 2024 15:47:16
Bit over the top Barron don't you think if there was no fight yesterday we would of lost the game 1 nil wouldn't of we come on please little bit of thinking before posting.

4.) 31 Mar 2024 16:09:38
It was a game that needed winning!.

5.) 31 Mar 2024 17:14:22
You make out like we lost at it's the end of the world mate we're not in the bottom 3 be happy just for a day mate ?.

04 Mar 2024 19:36:30
I see Tierney is not refereeing this weekend as he is in the naughty corner, not the first time this season following a Forest game the ref is stood down. We must continue to believe and not go into our shells, a point or three at Brighton and a home win against Palace and we will be a long way towards a much healthier position.

We still need a goal scorer or people to contribute from elsewhere. I think Nuno has made us a much more attack minded team we just need to convert the chances which we create every game. Still don't think Awonyi is fit!

Tyke what’s more scary is rob jones is on var on our game.

2.) 05 Mar 2024 02:55:14
He will be sat in nice warm room watching a match, snacks laid on. He should be sent to ref 4 games in the National League, at his cost!.

19 Feb 2024 12:13:08
I honesty believe we might get something from the Villa and Liverpool games if we play with the passion and intensity we showed against West Ham. All of a sudden teams will be wary of Forest's goal threat. Against West Ham our defence was the best it's been all season, Felipe and Murillo were magnificent, master and apprentice in tandem!

Tykeathome

1.) 19 Feb 2024 12:53:02
Saturday gave us cause for optimism but West Ham were dire and on a bad run.
Villa and Liverpool are completely different prospects.

2.) 19 Feb 2024 13:08:40
I believe certain teams have a bogey team, ours is definitely Bournemouth, and villas is us. Out of the next five games we should get at least 12 points. Please ?.

3.) 19 Feb 2024 13:50:51
I didn’t realise Fred, we’ve got one less point than we had last season at the same point - I’m surprised by that.

4.) 19 Feb 2024 15:35:52
Better keepers last season than this is certainly partly responsible for that?

5.) 19 Feb 2024 19:55:44
100% mate and I’ve just remembered other then Man Utd we had a good run just before and after the World Cup. It all went wrong at West Ham didn’t it?

6.) 19 Feb 2024 23:08:24
We had a worst goal difference by a mile though
Can that be explained?

7.) 20 Feb 2024 10:16:40
Yes, because for a period we had Worrall, McKenna and Cook at the back.

17 Feb 2024 21:19:52
Controlled the game throughout and never looked threatened. How Moyes can say he was disappointed not to win the game is the biggest joke! Could and should have scored at least 5. Dominguez was fantastic today, always challenging for the ball and always available in midfield. A great little through ball for our centre forward to finish superbly. Just loved the atmosphere today, how we didn't get a penalty is still a mystery to me, perhaps Clattenberg can explain?

Tykeathome

1.) 17 Feb 2024 21:52:28
Yes the atmosphere was definitely there today totally in control.

2.) 17 Feb 2024 22:13:24
How do you know the atmosphere was there today skeggs?
Was it constant noise?

3.) 17 Feb 2024 22:15:26
They wasn't in prayer so some good noise coming from the fans ?.

4.) 17 Feb 2024 22:24:10
Anyway dtp I would love to spend the night chatting to you how great the team the performance and the strategy was tonight but up early for work tomorrow I'm sure there will be a few on here that will stay up late and discuss it with you sweet dreams mate I will be having some after a good win uredddssss.

He has done really well picking the ball out of the net, otherwise completely invisible and the worst keeper we’ve ever had!

RedCyclist. I said he could only “rely” on a small squad, there are far too may he cannot rely on!

Too much bloody gloom and despair! Yes we got a lucky 3 points yesterday, but for those of us at KCOM on Thursday we saw a really energetic Forest beat Hull convincingly. Don’t underestimate what that took out of the squad! I believe SL knows that he can only rely on a relatively small squad and there needs to be more moving out of the dross this January and reinvestment in a small number of quality additions. Hefele, Benaloune, Carvalho, Mir, Muric must go!

Absolutely spot on. Murillo seemed to play with more assuredly with Felipe by his side. Closing down players quickly in midfield also a big change on Saturday, something Nuno was highlighting after the game.

Don’t agree about Sels being a flapper, thought he was calm and did everything well on Saturday. Didn’t flap about over distribution, generally got rid when he had to and found a Forest player when he had time.

Totally agree, probably the weakest keepers who have pulled on a Forest shirt in my experience of watching Forest and that goes back to 1978. I think we would have been 10 points better off with a class keeper. Has to be number one priority to bring in a good keeper, don’t care if he is young, just someone who can stop the basic errors!

So all this rubbish about his record is pure fiction? God give me strength. I’ve read some idiotic things on here but that just about takes the biscuit.
