I naively thought that with confidence being high after a few decent results DF would have sent the team out with some attacking intent but instead we handed an average Leeds team the initiative from the first minute. We will never achieve anything other than mid table while we keep letting the opposition boss 60% of the possession at home. We got away with it against MK Dons and no doubt playing this way we'll pick up a few more wins, but never enough to challenge for the play offs. This is why I will never be a fan of DF and as soon as we are out of the embargo he should go because I don't believe he'll ever change the way his team's play regardless of what quality of players he has available.

For the third and last time this evening only the top two have taken more points from the last eight games, that is third place on current form is it not? so what is the issue people have with DF? If you expect more from the current squad and manager then you are following the wrong team.

Sadly there are few managers that send out their teams with attacking intent, even managers with a proven winning cv.

Apparently Dougie set the side up to hit Leeds on the counter attack. I'm pretty certain that this is exactly how we will play the rest of the season no matter who we play. 30 odd percent possession at home. Sorry but most Forest fans do not want to see this at home. Ok if we are looking at avoiding relegation and when playing away. But do we really want this as our style of play? Smacks of a manager obsessed with the opposition.

When are Forest fans going to get real and stop living in the" might of been" past?

There are 16 teams challenging for promotion and the manager needs to pick a team and system for each match in the most competitive league in the world.

Credit to Dougie he sets out his intent and tactics when interviewed. So far despite our injuries we have always been competitive. We cannot expect free flowing football without a settled side over at least a season.

His signings plus SP's have given us the best balance we have had in years all the squad need is time to progress together.

Onward and upward.

Ideally I'd like to see us completely dominate teams and win all the time. However we that is not reality of the championship and we aren't good enough to do that. So regardless of how we do it I'll settle for picking as many points up as possible and if that means playing in a way I don't necessarily like but going seven odd unbeaten at home then I'll take it!

Mid table is our barrow.

Many fans know this hence why they stay away.

I'm not living in the past and I've seen enough football over the years to know you can't dominate every match, but we play this way against every opponent, even teams struggling at the bottom of the table. Positive thinking and co can defend DF all they like but the dwindling attendances, yesterday excepted, tells you what most fans think of this style of play. I'm resigned to being stuck with him til the embargo ends but would any true fan want to see him and his one dimensional negative tactics stay after that?
