Told something on Saturday at the Preston game that I would love to be true. The people who sit next to me in the Trent End had been told Forest would be making an announcement in May that plans for a new main stand would be made public. The plan is to construct the shell of the new stand around the old one to get maximum use before it is demolished and the inner construction starts. Sounds a bit futuristic but Marinakis is just the man to go for such a plan. We can but dream. If it did happen we would have a super stadium to be proud of and a greatly increased capacity. U REDS.

I think that all depends on what league were playing in next season.

I was told a similar thing by someone that works at the club a few months ago, didn't know whether to believe it or not but seems like its actually happening regardless of the league we are in.

As long as we stay at our iconic stadium i am all for it. Is their a better sight in football when walking over trent brudge when the ground comes into view????

Not sure about the stadium being iconic but the location certainly is. If this happens they will need to do some land / highway deals to improve safe access to the ground and enlarge the back of house areas to the other stands if we stay.

The proposed new bridge crossing at Holme Pierrepont could free up the road traffic around the ground.

Onward & Upward

Red you should try rush hour anywhere around Notts, built loads of roads still gridlocked,M1,A 50 junc 24 A the pathway to Nottingham, still a joke and cost millions, there's knowhere with easy access to and from Notts if we were to build a new ground,Clifton the only option, but always has accidents and the airport
