Jack Hobbs out for 3 months following ankle surgery according to NP

Sorry my patience has worn out with hobbs, wilson and vaughan, never were fit, never going to be fit, just another season of disruption through the same injury prone players, it may be harsh but pearce has got to be getting as fed up with it as us fans. as good as these players are or were (when fit)its incredibly frustrating for all involved, tough decisions need to be made if this squad is to progress.

So you think they get injured on purpose then!

3.) 09 Oct 2014
Louis Laing back please.

4.) 09 Oct 2014
No brinsley i don't think they get injured on purpose of course not, but you can't keep taking chances with injured/injury prone players, as frustrating as it is sooner or later you must move on, these 3 players in particular have been injured more than they have played. fact!!!

Fawaz was well and truly duped into buying Hobbs,Vaughan is another player who cannot string a couple of games together before he picks another injury up, Wilson another player who seems to pick up injuries rarther easily. Although he seems (touch wood) to be getting back to a decent standard How much is the wage bill for these 3 knocking on 40k at a very conservative guess, money well spent, nice work if you can get it.

What annoys me most bout injury prone players is
They sign a say 3 year deal spend 2 years mostly out injured
Stay injury free in final year then leave on a free transfer. Clubs should put more clauses in.
As it stands Wilson missed bout 40 games last season and bout 7 this. Been payed whilst out injured
But I'd say he owes us approx 50 games
But let's hope he stays fit now for rest of his contract.

Is annoying and sad when players get injured, especially when long term, but not as much as it it for the players!! its the same for every team luck of the draw players get injured players don't. would you be the same to get rid of chris cohen so easily who plays is heart out for the club, I saw and chatted to chris yesterday at a clinic in Mansfield, and believe me the lads distraught he's out for the season just as any other player who's out, this is why a big strong squad is required, + there's often insurances in place when injured. So I think we should stop whining about it and give them all the support we can and enjoy how well we are still doing without them.

8.) 09 Oct 2014
As was said after the game on sunday, wilson went off ill not injured

9.) 10 Oct 2014
With Wilson, Hobbs injured it really leaves mancienne and lascelles at the back. Mancienne is very impressive, lascelles still makes too many mistakes, and other options wehave like making left/right backs play ther

Hobbs, Vaughan and Wilson were signed by the previous manager whose name escapes me. It would be interesting to know if their fitness records were looked into before signing them. Also what form did the medicals take. Apart from Hobbs who also has a poor fitness record, none of SP's have been injured.

11.) 10 Oct 2014
WILSON IS NOT INJURED. he went off ill on Sunday.

12.) 10 Oct 2014
Reading were offering 3m for Hobbs in summer and I said I would have taken that at the time and everyone slated me for it. I said in. The post (which I think is still on here if you click my name) that although he may be the best cb in the division, it means nothing if he only plays 6 games a season. I would let him go for nothing right now just to get him off the wage bill, he is useless to us

13.) 10 Oct 2014
Going by your comment MysticRed we should get rid of Reid and Cohen too? Judging by the Physio's comments they have know got to the root of Hobbs problem so hopefully that will be sorted out now following latest surgery.

14.) 10 Oct 2014
Some people make me laugh when both vaughan and hobbs came to forest the majority were screaming to get them signed now all f a sudden its always injured get rid no wonder we are known as some of the most fickle fans in england !!!!!

15.) 10 Oct 2014
I think people said Fawaz needed to show his ambition by signing Hobbs! It's not over till it's over, may well come back and have a great end to the season. The glass is still very much half full.

16.) 11 Oct 2014
I quite like the idea of being contracted for a number of games rather than a period of time. I missed the poster's name, but they make a good point about out of contract players leaving for free. Also to the OP, are you also frustrated with the club captain and Reidy? I'm certainly not. I'm pretty sure all these guys would rather be pushing for a place in the team. What we need is adequate cover.

17.) 11 Oct 2014
All I said is I would take 3m for a player that we knew wouldn't play much really and same with Vaughan, Reid and anyone else, have to weigh up the price and how much we need them, if they are not on the pitch then 2 bob is enough for anyone let alone 3m! If you had a choice of Hobbs for 6 games or 3m only a fool would choose Hobbs for 6 games.

Like I said I did say in the summer I would take 3m for him, we have other good cb at the club and at the time I think 3m was a decent offer for him. Every player has his price and in my opinion that was his. The team defiantly looks stronger with him in it but him, Reid, vaighan will probably manage 20 games between them and i would sooner have players that actually PLAY rather then our highest earners chilling out in the players lounge while the reserves fight for promotion.

You say fickle fans and your right, we have some of the worst fans. You get on here and defend these players but go to games and sit there quietly, no support for the team on the pitch when their playing. It's ridiculous!

18.) 12 Oct 2014
Well said red dog, everyone was crying out to get these players sign up, people soon turn short memories!
