Saw Patrick Bamford parking his range rover in main stand car park before today's game. Must have been impressed with what he saw. If he came to us I don't know how he'd get in our team at the moment as we are on fire up front. COYR

Brinsley red

1.) Yes he was in players lounge ( Crossbar ) talking to lascelles

2.) I'm responding to my own post because some fellow readers of this site have questioned the credibility by touching the 'unbelievable' tag. I know this is a rumour site guys but Bamford was 100% definitely watching our game today!

3.) He was and sat about 4 rows in front of me in the main stand

4.) Straight into the youth team, where he started :)

5.) What will Pearce do with a full squad of fit players? I guess Cohen will go back to left back when Lansbury is fit, will Vaughan play? Do we need Bamford?

6.) 23 Aug 2014 20:52:32
Hey Brinsley Red, I would not worry about the 'unbelievables' as I have often wondered about them myself. I can only assume they come up for fresh air from the bottom of the pond. oops

7.) Don't think we need him, who would you drop to accommodate him?

8.) Better option than blackstock for me. Would be good signing on a seasons loan. Has a pretty decent scoring record for a youth team player!

9.) We still need more players, another midfielder and a striker! It's a long season, there will be injuries ans suspensions, and fatigue! Need a bit more depth.

10.) 24 Aug 2014 06:36:23
What's the crack with lars the big Dutch man is he any good, don't think we need Bamford a bench warmer unless Chelsea are paying his wages and could do a job for cup match's became the front two are a 100%

11.) Tyler walker forget bamford get one of our own up front who's hungry. Whatever problems bamford had with billy he didn't want to play for us so bye bye as far as I'm concerned

12.) Marko99. We don't need any more midfielders or strikers. In midfield we have depth. As CMs, we have: Reid, lansbury, vaghan, Osborn, Cohen, mancienne can play there, leigertwood, German guy, McLaughlin. As wingers, we have: Antonio, Paterson, Burke, McLaughlin, fryatt can play there, we still have abdoun if all fails!

13.) Chelsea will loan him out, but they will want him to be playing regular to get experience. We will never be able to offer him a regular place in our team, and He isn't going to come to warm the bench.

14.) 24 Aug 2014 10:23:54
He has been told that he is 4th choice after Torres, so if Torres leaves.

15.) 24 Aug 2014 12:39:02
We don't need him

16.) Stuart hinted in the post that he wanted him so I wouldn't worry about it. If he can afford him and he wants to come he'll come.

We only really have three strikers and another is a must over the course of the season.
I was thinking I'd of subbed at least one of britt or fryatt yesterday. We could of had more but britt looked a bit lazy when chasing their keeper.

17.) And would be 4th choice at Forest behind Assambolonga, Fryatt and Veldwijk.

18.) I agree with Ryan, let's bring through young Tyler, at least he is committed to Forest. We have Dex coming back and Ok he has not scored since he signed that long contract, but could be good coming off the bench. There is also big lars, once adjusted could be frightening! Bamford may have just been catching up with friends, but sorry he had the chance to play first team football with Forest, if he had been patient. He has burnt that bridge, I do hold a grudge and I can be bitter when it comes to turncoats, just look at McGeady and McCarthy!

19.) I would rather we develop and increase the value of Forest players not Chelsea ones. Blackstock will be worthless in the transfer market without games.

Same goes for Jamaal. I'd prefer to develop our own players if we can so he's good cover but wel down the pecking order now for me.

20.) Britt looked lazy because he didn't chase down the keeper like a headless chicken you don't want your striker offside because he's just chased the keeper down?

21.) 99. 9% of the time it doesn't pay off to chase a keeper, most keepers have composure, IMO it's better to stick to the law of averages and just pressure the keeper if he's taking his time but don't go too far otherwise you are a player down when it comes to the next phase. Just stick to marking short passes because long ones are less accurate.

22.) Do think need a striker and Bamford can also play wide so would give us that option too, get him on loan until January would be pretty good as will give Dex time to get fitness up to level again, think every other position is sorted.

Totally understand all the negative posts but how can anyone blame Pearce for that? I thought we dominated the game and kept possession well apart from Fox constantly giving it away. A reckless free kick given away by Lansbury was the catalyst followed by a total switch off from that short corner which was not acceptable I agree. But what rotten luck we are having of late. (Remember Leeds match. ) Today the third goal was the killer, luck was the reason, no one to blame. Luck was against us again with tesches shot that hit the bar and his header went wrong side of post. Then all those scrambles and deflections early in the second half. We just didn't get any breaks at all. I think we have a good enough squad to turn this around. Reid and Hobbs back will help obviously but we need a bit of the rub of the green also. Pearce is still trying to find his best team and system. Today I don't think you could fault the starting line up, everyone wants 4 4 2 we had that. Agreed we made some costly errors but they weren't done on purpose. Please keep the faith. We will get the breaks and better luck soon in the meantime let's get behind the manager. I feel really sorry for the guy today no way did we deserve that coyr

wasnt at the game today so can't comment on it but it sounded like a lot of the fans are behind pearce i hope fawaz feels the same. ( good post brinsley red )

2.) Not everybody wants 442

3.) 28 Dec 2014 16:24:37
Cant blame stuart today apart from playing fox how many times does that man give the ball away he's dreadfull lichaj lb and hunt rb then we will be sorted, everytime he gets the ball its like here we go again and panic.

4.) Correctomundo Brinsley Red. No way they were 3 goals better than us at half time. I'd say the red was sh but he wasn't even that good.

5.) Absolutely agree Brinsley. Well said.

6.) Agree brinsley with your post on the whole. For once though I'm not going to criticise lansburys booking. Thought it was the sensible thing to do bringing him down.
Just a shame at the shambolic defending after it

Noticed that Taraabt from QPR is out of favour with Harry. Always rated him although I bet he's a challenge to manage!
Would like to see him in our midfield at the moment with his creativity.

Brinsley red

1.) Come to think of it, a fat Moroccan would go niceley on our bench next to that useless Algerian.

2.) Why would we want him. Harry said 3 stone overweight and Lazy, couldn't run around in the reserves so He wouldn't do it for us + SP would want someone with the right attitude.

3.) Don't disagree but pretty much single handed got them promoted, so not the worst shout in the world

4.) 21 Oct 2014 18:36:17
I'd get him in with looks of him in paper today he's certainly not out of shape. Could be the player to lift us.

5.) 21 Oct 2014 19:35:44
that wasnt him on page 3 marco

6.) I'd sign her aswel lol

7.) Harry is losing the plot and deflecting criticism from the flops he has signed on bigger wages than Taraabat!
He got rid of him at Spurs so there is history and an easy target.
Ferdy among others should be getting pelters but he is being protected by his media luvvies.
SP could probably get Taraabat firing if he fancies him

Just thought if we could have kept hold of the ball better in the middle of the pitch we wouldn't have been chasing shadows like we were. The quality of Townsend shone through in the end he ripped fox apart but some good things to take away especially Osborn performance. Thought Pato tried to do too much on his own but he had no support from up front. pleased for Jorge in at the depend but will have learned a lot. Can concentrate on what matters now coyr

Brinsley red

1.) Trouble is we are so small and light-weight in midfield. Osborn, Grant, Tesche and even Burke and Reid, when he returns, are all slight figures when compared to the top flight teams we are hoping to join. Could do with a loan signing to add at least option of someone a bit bigger.

Good half boys well done. Got to say though how disappointed I am with lars. No pace, not won it aerially and can't hold it up. Ee aw ee aw. Let's get dex on we can't keep letting the ball come back so quickly, midfield will be nackered chasing back like they are

Brinsley red

1.) Completely agree lars has been awful really definitely not up to scratch on this viewing, think fox has been poor too! Usually can't stand Harding but think he's actually playing pretty well but in general very good and disciplined display at the moment. Osborn motm for me at the moment

2.) Much better in the second half holding the ball up and bringing others in to play. Don't be too negative. He was playing upfront on his own against one of the best teams in the country!

3.) Osborne how unlucky was he not to score great game. Well done young Grant took his goal really well. Lars oh dear looks like he needs to put some work in, in training sprint training, heading, trapping holding the ball up at least he can pass the ball. onwards!!

4.) First start for us. Isolated up front on his own with midfielders nowhere near to support for at least first half an hour.
I thought he got better as the game went on and did well for the goal.
Give the guy a chance most of there side are full internationals.

Wow, no I'm not sitting comfortably at al now I've seen the team!i really hope I'm wrong but I reckon our full backs could be in for a torrid time from Townsend and Lennon! Hold on tight everybody

I watched my local team underwood villa play forest u18 in a friendly at bracken park underwood in July. The forest squad were coached by Steve Sutton Kevin McDonald and jack lester, Nigel jemson was also with them but I think his lad was playing for forest as a trialist so probably just watching rather than being involved. Incidentally forest were awesome, winning 12-1 whilst playing with ten men to try to balance it up a bit!

Fully agree with the above post. He's not been given a chance. Does anyone know why he's out of favour? BD didn't play him because he was disruptive apparently. Was that the real reason? Anyone throw any light on it?

Boiler man what kind of a supporter are you. Nothing but negatives and pessimism in all your posts. I bet you're the life and soul of the party for sure. Give the team and the manager credit, Pearce was brave in changing to a back three but it paid off. Fantastic support and encouragement from the crowd today deserved it on second half performance coyr

Well posted red2dead! Absolutely spot on. I can't believe how fickle some people are. We live in the real world where fairy stories are something we tell our children but some people seem to think Mr Pearce can wave his magic wand and beam us up into the prem just like magic. Well get real, stop being mardy and get behind the manager and the club like proper supporters do. 31 games to go yet for gods sake. Brand new team, new manager, give em chance for gods sake

I'm sure we would all have taken that before the game. Behind twice yet again and comeback. SP seems happy to play this way away from home, can't really knock it as it's only failed to work once. I'm sure he's trying to get a loan in to replace Reid. I posted earlier that I thought Taraabt would bring some creativity, but got shot down by a couple of fellow posters. I'm sure SP could handle him and he's not as fat as arry reckons

Just a point ref Lars. This was the first time most of us had seen him play. Like me, I expect we all were looking for him to show he could be useful. Now I know he's not had much game time but usually you can tell if a player has got it or not even in the time he got the other night. Apart from his pass for the goal, which he made without an opponent anywhere near him, I really didn't see anything to convince me. Hope I'm wrong but he looks a donkey

Just been reading up on all the posts ref last nights game. Bearing in mind this site is basically all about different opinions I am absolutely gobsmacked that a couple of posters thought Lars did ok. Come on guys if that's what we've got waiting in the wings if Brit gets a knock then god help us. He's the biggest donkey I've seen for many a season. Apart from that I thought we did well and if sp had turned out our best side we would probably have won. But good to see the young lads doing well, massive learning experience for them. COYR
