Nottingham Forest are looking at Britt Assonbalonga, maybe another striker to arrive at the CG?

Its in the sunday papers today that we are stepping up our interest. Only problem is wouldn't peterborough make us pay a larger fee after the boyd fiasco!

{Ed034's Note - their chairman has said he would do business with us when asked on the bird site....register or log in please

2.) 15 Jun 2014
If we are interested then he would be stupid not to do business with us. need to get rid of rafik first. I would keep hendo and Cox and use Cox as a winger if needed. I still maintain that Cox needs Someone at the side of him and not to be up top on his own. if we get brit then it looks like a bit of rotation will be going on regards the front line.
Just wish this world cup would hurry up and end so we can get down to the serious business that is promotion.

3.) 15 Jun 2014
Would he pass a medical?

4.) 15 Jun 2014
A lot of my mates are season ticket holders at posh, the stories that I've been told throughout the season about Britt have been pretty negative. One of the scouts mentioned his attitude was poor and he is quite a disruptive influence in the dressing room. another friend was saying he is quite lazy and if it wasn't for the penalties he scored he wouldn't be as high in the goal scoring charts. I was also told that he is perhaps a league 1 player at best and the likes of Gayle, Mackail Smith & Taylor who all preceded him were all superior talents.

This would be another great signing, young with bags of potential and will be keen to prove himself at a higher level.33 goals in all last season, put that with the 2 strikers signed last week and what we already have and the only way is up!! COYR's

6.) 15 Jun 2014
Darren from peterbourgh you wouldn't be trying to put us off him would you

7.) 15 Jun 2014
I speak with a posh st holder and he says he is not all that. just sought our injuries out, add finnbogason and we are there.

8.) 15 Jun 2014
I think britt will cost way too much money, for me I would look elsewhere, but I would always follow posh in their transfer dealings especially up front, they always bag a striker who scores plenty of goals. also posh play attacking football, which surprise, surprise leads to lots of chances and goals.

9.) 15 Jun 2014
If Darren Peterborough comments are correct haven't we got enough disruptive characters in the dressing room alreay ie abdoun and debour so we buy another proble. Stuart is looking at a unified club

10.) 15 Jun 2014
I think 5m is way too much to spend on a player who is going to be a big gamble because that's what p'boro want, I really can't see this happening.

11.) 15 Jun 2014
Panels71, is this Alfred Finbogason, his price tag is somewhere round the £8 million mark as Celtic found out. Way out of our league. Another one prem bound Villa for a guess.

12.) 15 Jun 2014
IMO would much rather Wilson. Younger and looks far better. And poss cheaper. Still need pace on the wings tho. COYR

13.) 15 Jun 2014
I think that assombolanga is 2nd and cheaper choice to Wilson from Coventry, May be as good, however I wouldn't want to pay for his name on the back of my shirt!

{Ed034's Note - he certainly won't be cheaper. Peterborough are saying they want around £5m for him and Wilson wouldn't cost that much

14.) 15 Jun 2014
Didn't realize they wanted 5 million, not a chance of paying that, that would have bought Charlie Austin last season

15.) 15 Jun 2014
Darren peterborough, your dad didn't happen to pass a certain evertonian a poisoned chalice last year did he?

16.) 15 Jun 2014
I travel to watch forest week in week out, I have just passed on info from work collegues who watch the posh. Assombalonga They feel will be another Garner who has found his level at league 1. If this player was something special surely Watford would have put a re-sign deal in the transfer to Peterborough and would be keen to buy him back.

Hooper is on the way to the city ground after World Cup! !
