Picture your boss at work having a 2nd in command forced upon him and think how much credibility he'd have in your eyes if this was made public to the workforce on the basis that he wasn't a successful manager. If you're your own boss, imagine your wife insisting in front of your staff that the business is carp with you in charge, and a lower level manager coming in would improve. There wasn't any other way around it. I don't agree that freedman a has the record to warrant his employment, but I will get behind him. Just like I have every other manager (bar mcleish and megson). We'll finish mistake minimum with our support

Notorious PB

1.) I will not stand by df he will mess are club up completely

2.) At least give freedman a chance, to turn the mess around that the clueless legend pearce created, i always said from day 1 on radio nottingham phone in it would end in tears, proved correct, when the new backroom staff are installed, you will be able to see if there is improvement of play and attitude on the field.pearce had is chance.and clearly shown he ain't no manager.

3.) @ skeg vegas jay: I think that role is already taken. Truth is, if you can count the number of points we get in the next ten games on one hand, it'd be pretty much business as usual (which is exactly what you would have been entitled to expect under SP). Sadly, SP was the architect of his own demise and would have been out on his ear at pretty much any club a month or so earlier in similar circumstances. I don't know what Freedman will achieve but the same returns will produce the same outcome: it smacks of a fairly desperate appointment in some ways but these are desperate times.

Been speaking to a woman I know who knows half the Rotherham board. They've been looking at an approach for raddy. Think to be fair, could be a good move for all concerned.

Notorious PB

{Ed003's Note - Which half of the board does she know ?}

1.) The ironing board.

2.) What a load of poppycock!

3.) Advertising board?

4.) Surf Board? The other half is in a great whites gnashers!

5.) Busy lady!!

6.) Chairman of the board! Boom

7.) Fuse board, card board, skate board and head board. That will do now thanks

8.) Come on i'm getting board of this now!

{Ed034's Note - and that's that!!! Blimey lol

Re the vedwjik transfer, maybe we could pay schteve on a retainer to drive up once a week and talk to him in his dodgy dutch accent to make him feel more at home?

Notorious PB

{Ed034's Note - lol

Does anyone know whether we are getting stung by ffp this season, or are likely to next if we carry on the way we have been?

Notorious PB

1.) It depends if Fawaz has managed to bring in the sponsorship from Kuwait that he mentioned in an interview if he has then we should be fine, if he hasn't then we could face a fine and a transfer embargo in January.

Hi Ed/olly, while the news is sparse, how about this? What flavour of pie would forest fans have in the ground in an absolute ideal world? Assuming we had good chefs. (Hoping fawaz is reading this after the catfood I ate a few weeks ago)

Notorious PB

{Ed034's Note - olly?? You can't beat a balti pie from what they serve now, but if it was a new one how about steak and Stilton???

1.) Sheep pie

2.) A roast beef and crispy roast potatoes pie for me lol

3.) I reckon Humble

4.) Ed how about steak and Shilton instead? or maybe Steak and wigley -if fawaz is really serious about getting us promoted steak and bale? :-)

{Ed034's Note - I like the idea of steak and shilton lol

5.) I prefer a prawn sandwich myself.

6.) Seriously though this is a good idea for forest to choose local high quality suppliers - pies, coffee, beers etc.

7.) Ollycyprus was commenting on food poisoning from city ground pies in earlier post. Norwich have got delia, couldn't we get sat bains? Could work up an appetite for bone marrow and foie gras washed down with real ale. Now that would send a statement to other clubs

8.) Hi notouris, just come on line. Hummm good question. I like my moneys worth so I would go for steak and ale pie, that way I can save money to come to more matches. l do miss a good old beer back home. I got s vary strange look from the cypriot fish and chip shop in mandria one day when I asked for fish, chips salt and vinnegar wrapped in news paper. I got told, sorry we only have these polly cartons. Those were the days for me. Chips, peas and gravy. Yum, yum, great before match started

9.) Yeah ollycyprus, must be really tough for you, living 2 mins from the beach, year round sunshine, freshest seafood etc. We all really feel bad for you.

10.) Not sure how fresh the fish is sometimes, a russian friend told be he saw the cypriot guy from the fish shop in paphos puttig fish from his small truck back in to the sea to sell again. How ever can not beat the sun shine andvsea mate.

{Ed034's Note - yeah but do you get a bloke in a long white coat, selling fish out of a basket in the local bars??

11.) You can't beat a fresh caught crab stick, Lol.

12.) Imagine if the guy in the white coat was allowed to walk round the stands with his basket at half time selling his cockles, mussels and whelks. if the fans were willing to shell out he'd make a right killing. He'd have enough squid in one match to retire to a plaice in the sun.

{Ed034's Note - eel love doing that.

13.) At half time we could all do the CONGER. Oh dear, sorry about that.

14.) Excellent responses, however stop codding about. Food is a very serious issue, especially at our ground.

15.) Ha ha on about seafood at ya pub ed, when I was a young lad I used to go watch ilkeston town with my dad n kershaw the crab man used to come in the club bar at half time selling crab sticks and prawns n stuff out his little basket! Are they still knocking about?

{Ed034's Note - still the same bloke that's doing it in the city centre since I was 17 and I'm now 33

16.) Cow pie - they must have been Desperate when they signed Dan Harding.

17.) I really do not understand how anyone can complain that the food is good or bad.
As soon as the half time whistle goes the staff go missing and you are lucky to get a cup of hot water with a lucky dip in it!
No-one gets a chance to eat all the pies!

Blackburn do the best pie and chips

When Barcelona were hit with an embargo, they were given a window to spend as they pleased prior to the embargo taking hold. If we aren't given the same, we should fight it in court. Should buy some time to spend anyway as they couldn't enforce the embargo until the legal challenge has been resolved.

Notorious PB

{Ed003's Note - These are not FIFA ffp they are The Championship ffp rules although as you know they have been amended from 2015/16. }

Yeah, sorry Ed, as if you've got nothing better to do than deal with that sort of ridiculous behaviour, what with moving, decorating etc. Can't believe you saw straight through it and relegated it to the banter page straight away. Cheers Ed, I'll stick to banter in the future!

About 10 days ago I got slaughtered for posting rumour that raddy was going to Rotherham and now he's gone (not to Rotherham rhough. Admittedly it was completely made up, I have no contacts and have never posted a rumour before, only banter. I just wanted to see my avatar of cloughie slapping a fan. What an amazing windows, keep up the good work Ed, I haven't been this excited about forest in years.

Notorious PB

{Ed003's Note - sums the page up atm.}

Sorry gazza2969 but if I was on 1/4 wages of collins or cox, I would give my bloody all. It's the least I could do with my distinct lack of footballing ability. Bit like collins and cox. Think we paid well over the odds for cox.

Great post bingham. If I'm honest I'm primarily a rugby union fan, and it is plainly obvious that when someone is made part of the England rugby squad, they make a massive step up in ability, knowledge, fitness and experience, which can be seen at club level even if they don't actually get a game. They barely get paid any more, but they buy into the culture. Just like ryder cup golfers, americas cup sailers and gb cyclists when they leave their team to represent their country. In my opinion it's the team culture they are exposed to within the entire England set up that's at fault. This stems from the head honchos at the FA downwards. There's a saying that a fish rots from the head down. There are too many people keeping each other in very well paid executive jobs that perhaps don't have the experience, knowledge and wherewithal for their post, but perpetrate a 'you scratch my back I'll scratch yours' to keep their jobs. The problem is that the money keeps rolling in, so the only person that they see as at fault for performance is the manager, who gets minimal time with the players. This is also due to the amount of power the clubs have been allowed, due to monetary income frome the premier league.

It's mathematically impossible to give more than 100%. Unless you are Stuart Pearce, in which case you always give at least 110%

Ed- in fairness to the mail, I think you're being a bit harsh on the mail. They haven't changed since they decided years ago to be racist, mysogynistic homophobes. Just a shame that people still buy it and believe their stories.

Notorious PB

{Ed034's Note - lol that's fair enough. The only thing that's changed for me is the sport columns have gone the same way as the news columns
