Match day tomorrow, so it's prediction time. I'm hoping for a win and good performance but my head tells me we're heading for a 1-1 draw with MGW scoring his first goal for the Reds.

Mangala had a slight setback in training but those 10 days with the coaches will be crucial. I think a bit more pace at the back and midfield to join the pace up top so 3.1 Forest with this line up with the players available

The team picked tomorrow will show me who is really in control . Lodi as an example, his first match straight in against Man City . Cooper would not do that, and what has Troffolo done wrong to be dropped. O Brien must start instead of Freulen or Mangala and be paired with Yates . For Cooper to show faith in McKenna and Worrall will make them sweat blood for the team. To drop one or both will completely undermine them as their confidence is at a low as it is
already. Linguard is a class player and if he is picked will form a great partnership with MGW . Leaving Surridge who more than any other player deserves to start . My own personal feeling is that decisions may be being made over Coopers head ie Big M or one of his 3 minions, who will say ‘ we bought these expensive players, your the coach get the best out of them ie okay them or go ‘ . If this is the case and we loose tomorrow, I seriously think it will be the end of the road for poor Steve Cooper . I am sorry to say like others this will be my last text on this site, as I expect Cooper will be no longer with the club on Saturday morning.

O Brien yes for some strange reason I forgot him he's in for Freuler. Need a tough centre half to compete with mitrovitch I would put a man marker on him. Watching Fulham a couple of weeks ago nearly all their play goes through him knocking balls off to their pacy midfield players.

Docm why last post? This btw is a good one and asks a lot of questions. The answer lies in the fact we were an utter shambles under big m for four years, we got lucky with cooper and the acceleration from nowhere to eutopia has papered over many cracks. I’m not sure that cooper has the tools in his locker to mould this new plethora of players and we might continue to slide and no doubt the impatience from the suits will manifest itself.

However, like Burnley, we should stick with cooper and let him evolve at this level, he deserves it. What I will say is that this squad has not been assembled to fall and rise again, it’s here for survival at the top table, now and nothing less will be acceptable

Interesting posts but I don’t believe Cooper is the sort of coach or man to be dictated to as to team selection and wouldn’t tolerate any interference from the hierarchy whatsoever.

He has a difficult task in assimilating 22 new players who arrived mostly after the start of the season with no time to bed in. However, I have complete faith in his ability to achieve this task. At the moment it’s a team of talented strangers and it’s going to be a long process but give it a few more games. I certainly don’t believe he will be sacked if we fail against Fulham.
I have no idea how the players are in training and how the bonding is going, neither do any of us, as the astute Darren Fletcher reminds us. Our job as fans is to get behind the team tomorrow and for the rest of the season.
Bearing in mind this caveat my team tomorrow, based on what I have seen do far, would be:

Hendo
McKenna, Boly Bade 3 CBS
Williams and Toffolo wingbacks
O Brian Kouyate holding
Frelen and Gibbs White
Atoniyi up top

But in Cooper I trust and I don’t know what he knows!
