I’ve watched all of the lower leagues play offs up to now and hardly any players have caught my eye. Johnson seems very quiet for Lincoln, in this form I’m not sure he would get in our first team:

Imps just got outmuscled first half by a very physical Sunderland side. Must have been some team talk by Appleton at half time. At times Lincoln were knocking it about like Brazil second half.

Grant was anonymous and there was no space for young Johnson to operate in. I thought Bridcutt did a good captains job holding it together after they got battered 1st half.

How much of there being not many stand out players is down to the pressure of trying to get into the play off final with what is at stake.

What a player does over the whole season is more important than what they do in the odd game.

I liked Aiden McGeady at Sunderland but sadly he is getting on in years. Still a class act though. Blackpool have a couple of decent players, they seem like a team going places.

From what I’ve seen in the playoffs only our own BJ and yeates from Blackpool would be the only ones to get into our squad, didn’t even see that much in Mowatt who people say would be decent free. But like one poster stated we can’t judge players on a few games.

That must be why some players do not get picked enough for the first team Bowiered, either they won't do Bj's or the manager expects the players to go the extra mile. 😁.
