What is success for our owner? If Glasner gets us top half by Xmas - does he sack him? Probably.

Is Glasner, on paper, better/much better than VP? Yes.

But I am totally fed up with how the owner chops and changes everything however huge wishes. That’s his prerogative as owner I guess (‘you put your money where your mouth is then’ I hear some of you cry) but there is a point at which it becomes and looks ridiculous.

We have made numerous mistakes. We have probably gone past that some time ago. VP was a success.

We need some stability, we need a plan, we need some transfer discipline and we need some leadership. Yes again, we’ve shown nothing of the sort. It’s slightly ridiculous.

Chelsea have been sacking successful coaches for years.
If you're ambitious, then you are often ruthless but accountable.

And in the last 2 years Chelsea have done more of it and been less and less successful. So, what is your point?

What is success? What does it take to get there? Is it even attainable in a league where most clubs have wages that are higher than our entire income?

I don't always want to do 'whatever it takes to be successful'.

Firstly, it often fails (look at our appointments, look at our signings), and secondly, I don't like the look of it... Be good to have some stability... Arguably the true pathway to success.

The simple thing is, only one team can win a league.
My point is, you get very little stability in football management across all world leagues.
The average stay is less than 3 years.
Trying to keep a successful squad brings stability as well, but that's very difficult to achieve.
So, it is what it is. Just see how it pans out.

By the way, in what way is Glasner more successful than VP? VP has won many more trophies than Glasner. Check it out.

I'm thinking that "Stability" for us now is anyone lasting longer than 6 months.
Don't have a lot of time for the cocky Andy Goldstein, however.
I really can't argue with him when he regards our club as a "Basket Case". ?‍♂️

Great post, Rogie.
We can only, in our wildest dreams, have a manager who stays for 3 years, mate.

Arteta, the longest serving since 2019.
Followed by Howe, 2021.
Emery, 2022.
Farke, 2024.
So not much stability at any club in the Premier.
So they are all basket cases.

But still a million miles from 4 in one season and a fifth incoming eh, DTP?

Spurs, Chelsea weren't far behind us, Stokey
End of the day, like I've told you, hardly any club keeps a manager for long, and if they are any good, they move on.
How many years does Jose get at the clubs he manages, even with his record?
Slot wins for Liverpool then dismissed a season later, that's modern day football.

Depends what you mean by "not far behind us", mate. We hold the record for managers in a season, comfortably and embarrassingly.
