Will the Premier League investigate the Villa team selection? I was under the impression you play your strongest team in the League games!!! Shocking from Villa, a disgrace really! I think West Ham will be putting in a complaint!

Honestly, Villa look to be deliberately losing this match. Is that to put more pressure on Forest ahead of Chelsea with team selection? Villa need to be careful, as losing becomes habitual!

Unfortunately there's not a lot that will be done about it, lads....

Dick Emery has a squad and is allowed to use it at the end of the day.
I suspect West Ham are fuming.

We would probably have done the same... only with a helluva lot more effort!!!!!

What I will say, Rogie, is Villa have a massive weakness at left back, Matson and Digne can't defend, so play on it.
Not worried about us staying up.
West Ham fans will be now, though.
Shows he's thrown the game with no subs.

"Not worried about us staying up," DTP.
"West Ham fans will be worried."
Yes, mate, that one point makes all the difference, doesn't it?

It basically sends West Ham down with their remaining fixtures, Stokey.

I thought you said Spurs were definitely going down. Make your mind up, dtp, you're sending me dizzy. ??

Thats before dick emery took the game for granted skegs and plated reserves, i thought he might, but hoped he wouldn't
Thats life in football
Hopefully comes to hurt him
Spurs got a get out of jail card
Over to west ham now and doubtful they get anything against Arsenal

Hope you are right DTP. I also think we will stay up, as I've said before on here.
The key to Emery's selection was the replacement of his two trusted centre backs Konsa and Torres with Lindelof and Mings. He removed any bite in the midfield by resting McGinn too. Hence, defensively, they were all over the place.
I'm guessing he sacrificed this one because they play Burnley after us. But they've also got to play Liverpool and Man City.

They may have underestimated Bournemouth...
But, it is what it is. Emery has now subjected us to a spot of "scoreboard pressure", to use the cricketing term. Also to field our full strength team today (which I think we would have done anyway).
I'll leave it there, still puzzled. Again, to use a cricketing term, "just look in Wisden. The scores are there for all time".
