No way was Anderson's tackle either a foul or sending off. He timed it perfectly and got the ball, no studs up. The fact that Watkins felt it and fell over doesn't mean a foul. Emery is wrong.
The tackle also set the tone of the match - meet them eye to eye and give no quarter.

Honestly, mate, I feared the worst for Ando after that tackle. I can't disagree with Emery. But, heyho, about time we got lucky with VAR. ?

Nothing lucky about it. Clean tackle won the ball, and his foot never left the ground. Football is a contact sport.
