I assume there was no way of getting him or someone equal/better than him for less than an initial £45m. Seems a mammoth fee given what I saw of him live last year (but he was great for Ipswich).

Amazing to think that Harry Wilson went to Leeds on a free and James Trafford - perhaps the next England No 1 - went for 5-10m less.

All in July I think.

Not saying we could have done any better, but it's not exactly transfer genius, is it.

Of course, it's better, Oakham, mate, but we could be an established Premiership team instead of hanging on by our eyebrows in 3 out of 4 seasons we've been up. Don't you see how much better it could be, how much money we've wasted, and how many opportunities Mr M has chucked away by his impetuousness?
As I've said before, I bet he doesn't run his shipping business in the same cavalier fashion he does Forest.....
