A couple of points, Antonio has often been called " the best player in the championship by both DF and even TV pundits so how on earth is he valued at only £4 million by the sheep? I think this bid was made to cause discord at the club! If arguably the 2nd best player in the division ( Andre Gary ) is going for £9 million then what is Antonio actually worth? FAWAZ shouldn't make the same mistake as he did with Darlow and Lascelles and sell on the cheap or I think the fans will finally turn on him! Why are we such mugs?!!! Secondly FFP and it's fairness towards us as a club. Supposing
Fawaz becomes frustrated with the progress being made and not being able to spend to gain better players and subsequently says enough and we end up in administration and another Portsmouth, will the Football league be responsible for the destruction of this once great club which has done so much for the game in this country?! Stop and think about what could happen wether you think FFP is a good thing or not!

I think the darlow and lascelles deals were great business for us, good money and no trouble to replace them.i do agree with most of the post but I don't think we could turn down 6m for MA.

I think FFP is a good thing for football and a club like Forest is perfectly capable of thriving within the rules. The fact that we chose to disregard those rules - in full knowledge of the penalties we were facing - and allocate all of our overspending unwisely was a big mistake. And if, as in your scenario, FAH were to decide that enough was enough and walk away, that would make HIM - not FFP - the architect of our demise.

We sold them for 6-7million which is daylight robbery plus we got them back on loan and didn't have to pay them.thats cracking business if you ask me.people hyped them up but Darlow has potential and jl looked poor.

I live in newcastle and so as a forest fan get asked about darlow and lascelles quite a bit and my answer is always the same. Darlow is a decent keeper, a bit cocky but I don't see that as a bad thing, he'll be a decent back up. Lascelles on the other hand will be lucky to get close to their starting line up, maybe the odd cup game? (the fans weren't too impressed with him pre season). But in this day and age for a combined fee of around £5 million then it's not a bad deal for either teams. Cost them nothing in the grand scheme of things and we really only needed them for one season as without Pearce in charge we had the team to go up last year. He got it all wrong. Any team that at one point could have had britt, Antonio, and ince as their front three should have been walking it, however instead he played Antonio as a wing back and left ince on the bench. we missed a real opportunity last season in my opinion.
