So what, he is old and injury prone. If he is back by end of September, he will be out by end of November at the latest. He does not ask to get injured but he is a magnet to injuries.

Sound let's build a team around him again!

Seriously that's good news, I think df will see him as an option now and not an excuse to wheel out every time we play badly. I guess it's all down to whether the arrangement I describe with Reid now is justifiable against his wage.

One piece of vision can change a game though can't it.

If he does get fit he should be used sparingly when we need a bit of magic in the last 20 in stead of playing full or 60min games.it will also lift the team having him in the match day squad.

I can see the logic in bringing Reid on last 20, but can't see him wanting to be a part time squad member.
Do we know the length of Reids remaining contract?
I read the same article last year, he'll be back late September.
I truly do want him to return & to something close to his best. But I just am struggling to see it happening. Age, Fitness & injuries all against him sadly. Hope he proves me wrong!
