It's the morning after the night before. Let's have a look at what happened. We sold and loaned back two academy products with barely 80 games between them for around £7m raising to who knows what. JL will never be a top class defender due to ego and a lack of a football brain. He needs a central partner to keep shouting at him. Darlow on the other hand is full of potential but so is Etimov. Money keeps the world and our beloved club turning. FFP is here with good intentions although I do believe it is a flawed process. I'm old enough to remember the sales of Robertson, Francis, Clough, Collymore, Johnson and Campbell. Let's not forget without Fawaz we would not have a team to support

Yep, think you talk a lot of sense although should have asked for a lot more.

If we sell Lansbury, I think we will struggle with achieving play-offs as he is far more valuable.

Well put, I guess there will be a sense of disappointment. I think the crucial thing is did SP know they were to be sold, as some saying he was asked his thoughts, or did he know nothing till they were sold. It is now down to Fawaz to come out and tell us why!

Forever Red 27, you make some good points and I agree Darlow is certainly the more talented of the two, however it's not simply the sale of these players that has us upset. Rather it's the manner of the sale and the way in which the manager has been completely undermined by a hierarchy which keeps on appearing amateurish. We really need some answers as we're still awaiting the sponsorship announcement and SP has hinted at the club needing 'ready money' which does raise a few alarm bells. The events of yesterday have left a lot of us anxious so I really hope Fawaz can reassure us today.

I agree we should of got more for the two players but who knows what add ons we agreed to. Appearances, England caps, European qualification? Could provide a steady income for the next few years.

I also agree that HL is almost irreplaceable to a club like us. Excellent business to get him in the first place. One point on Fawaz. We all appreciate your efforts and what you have done but please stop shooting yourself in the foot!!

It was 5 million and we have sold on the cheap and been ripped off to the bargain.
