Gotta say watching world cup final my opinion of Rio ferdanand has risen 2 fold! The camera shows beckham with his son in a Argi shirt, Rio says how can he let his boy wear that? The only shirt my boys would be aloud to wear would be an England 1. Well said Rio!

Well said mate, been a gud world cup, congrats to the well oiled german machine of a team( ooh the pain). Not very professional the way the cup was manhandled by 3 people trying to get their bit of fame before the deutsche captain got to raise it aloft in front of the watching world. Still if I was England captain they could produce it of their arse if it meant I could lift it up as a world cup winner.

Couldn't agree more, mind you it was probably more of a fashion statement than anything to do with a show of support.

3.) 14 Jul 2014
Are you guys serious. Kids grow up watching Messi and idolise him so they are at a World Cup final and want to wear his shirt and you would say no son as it might make me look bad back in England and some fans will say I'm a bad Englishman.

Get over yourself's they are kids a a World Cup final.

4.) 14 Jul 2014
Too right the exact same thoughts went trough my head. Not only that he talks a hell of a lot of sense and he's turning out to be a top pundit. LOL he wasn't happy with Beck's!

5.) 14 Jul 2014
GaawdenBennett! Sometimes Panglos, you have to say no to your kids, letting them get their own way isn't doing them any favours, Well said Rio, pity your name isn't 'London' but not your fault mate.

6.) 14 Jul 2014
Panglos They also grow up watching one of the best midfielders the worlds ever seen in his dad. No one needs to get over themselves it's a bit of banter maybe you're too highly strung to see that.

7.) 14 Jul 2014
Panglos, there could never be an acceptable reason to put your kid in an Argi shirt. Have a word with yourself please.

8.) 14 Jul 2014
OK then Panglos, so Messi switches over to Derby tomorrow you gunna let your son/daughter run around with a Derby shirt with Messi on the back because he/she is a kid? I think NOT!

9.) 14 Jul 2014
Messi and Beckham are buddies, don't see any issue with his kids wearing their shirt at the game. None of our business, nor Ferdinand's. The world is a much globalized place now, if my kids were confined to all things England I'd be concerned in all honesty, that coming from a perspective of living overseas for 14 years though.

10.) 14 Jul 2014
No he'd never be allowed to wear a Derby shirt that goes without saying he would be disowned for that. but Maradona cheat aside and the Falklands what's the beef. We have wars with every country pretty much going so it's no big deal. Kids are at the World Cup final you can't teach your kids prejudice (unless it's Derby). Chill it's not that important.

11.) 14 Jul 2014
Comment 10, Falklands aside?

12.) 14 Jul 2014
CJay, you are the one referring to them as Argies, which was a term coined during the Falklands conflict so why you question mark another's comment about said conflict? As an ex-service person and with family who served in such conflict, I've zero issues with the "Argie" people or team or whoever wears their shirt. They don't reflect a military junta. Many in England supported Ze Germans yesterday. They've done more bad stuff to our wonderful island nation than the Argentinians could ever do. Beckham's kids wearing their shirt, really, so what. We have nothing better to criticize. Please sir, have a word with yourself.

{Ed034's Note - i think we will leave it there on this. Being as we are a friendly Forest site, I don't really want a debate on Falklands or any other conflict

13.) 14 Jul 2014
Well at least we can all agree on one thing and that's teach your kids to be prejudice against Derby. i'm in on this one. LOL

14.) 14 Jul 2014
Apologies Ed!

{Ed034's Note - you dont need to apologise mate, the conversation was heading that way. just best left off the site thats all
