Heard that Veldwijk should be confirmed before midnight tonight to go with Matty Fryatt.

Leicester tried to hijack the deal but SP and the dutch connection have won him over.

Peltier will be confirmed before the World Cup also.

Be great to tie down peltier, one more midfielder and we have what we need. If darlow does go then we need to add a goalkeeper. Well dne fawaz

We have not got what we need, there will be more players out, and we need cover for injuries which cost us dear last season, be 2 more Strikers, 2 Midfielders ( 1 wide man) another 2 Defenders, and another Keeper, keep Darlow on his toes!

We havnt got what we needed?we needed a striker that can score goals and has prem experience. which one of the doesn't fryatt have?we won't get an injury list like last year so we can just use the youth to help out. no keeper required as de vries is good enough and again we have youth to back them up. at this point in time Lars and fryatt keep me happy.

{Ed034's Note - I find it a rather silly statement. Currently we have signed a left back, a defensive midfielder and a striker. For me a player like Peltier for defensive cover, an attacking midfielder which can also play wide and another striker.
It's a great start and looks like it'll get better today

Matt is a cracking signing and will have the right mentality, he could have stayed in the perm and sat on the bench for most of the season but he's come to us to play games and do what strikers do-score goals. Its not just about getting a good player in, you also need to get the right type of player and he is definately that. Good player, still got something to prove and wants to play all the time. Well done to all involved in the deal.

I agree Ed a silly statement from upthered. Some fans are never happy. I believe we have a good enough squad now.

Matty's a great signing like you said ed, I didn't realise his stats were so good, and here's another, top goalscorer for a prem club without starting a prem game! And playing in a cup final and scoring in it taboot!

Hopefully his stats will be better with us I can see him being the player to stick all those chances away therefore being our 20 a season man

Don't think Leicester are interested at all, he wouldn't get in there side any way. He's never score 20 goals in the Championship he only managed 13 for Leicester and 32 in league one and that's his level in my eyes
