haven't heard the link with forest but heard liverpool want a clause as part of the deal where if he doesn't play 75% of games they can fine the club.

We should change it so if he isn't good enough to play 75% of the games for us we can counter fine them. Loans are two way deals and should benefit both parties - i'm sure these clauses do go into some contracts but its crazy.

I think you can forget about any English club signings the new manager and them around him will know more about the foreign youngsters and talent coming through abroad and with the looks of it apart from the youngsters coming through at forest think that's the way forward for them and probably for us.

Last season Lam played 35 games at centre-back and only one game in midfield. The season before that he started over half of his games at centre-back too. That's some emergency!

Lam is a centre half. He can also play at right back or defensive midfield but he is definately no emergency centre half.

1.) As an aside has anyone seen Fawaz 's message to supporters on the OS. Forest through and through.
2.) Would really like this to happen he was loaned out in the championship last season and although perhaps not a starter he has pace and a good footballing head can play striker or winger. Be a good loanee.
3.) Fawaz top bloke all round simple as that.
4.) Jordan Ibe would be a fantastic loan signing, pace, trickery, good shot on him. Get him in.
5.) Just wondering how we are fitting ll these wide men in the team?

6.) Reid & McLaughlin are both wide men really. Neither would play through the center. Having said that McLaughlin made a pretty good fist of it last night.
{Ed034's Note - Reid played central midfield nearly every minute he played last season and is now seen as a central midfielder, by both the club and himself.
McLaughlin is a wide player but we need someone better, who will give us a real option
7.) Keep the signings coming, what a difference a well liked manager makes. The ease we are making signings is surely no coincidence :)

Forest have made a bid for sheff Utd CB Harry McGuire, to me it feels like a Lascelles replacement. A young English cb, if played next to lascellas that would show huge intent for the future both could easily end up capped
1.) It wasn't an obvious area that we needed to strengthen but the youth, quality and quantity of players we are after shows the direction SP is wanting/needing to go!
It's all good so far on the transfer front as far as I'm concerned. If Lascelles should leave, signing the young French, Spainish lads and this lad will be great business!
2.) Hull City have been linked with him for months now so I expect 'Bulldog Head' Bruce will get his man. especially now he has failed in his Micky Dawson bid!
3.) He's off to Premier League No doubt about that, was quoted yesterday saying He was looking forward to the step up

Liverpool put in a 10 million offer for Burke with a loan back clause. Surely that makes sense. and who's advised the kid to go Leipzig. From what I heard he had over 25 clubs interested. We could have got more if we waited a couple days for the panic buyers, you no what Liverpool are like could have been 20 million. Fawaz is ruining my club . Chinese consortium anyone?

i heard a saying a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I do not think as many clubs was really interested as suggested by the media. I have read about six in total and no bids by these other clubs confirmed by our club. Also the old saying put your money where your mouth is comes to mind or put up or shut up. The money we got from twisty if 13- 15 million is a good deal for potential that may or may not be realised. what concerns i have is how the money will be spent? just a honest opinion.

HI Ed, Now i'm a big fan of pep I've even got a number 7 shirt but am I the only one who thinks he needs a kick up the ass[in the nicest possible way]and with all the talk of strikers and now sako, who do we have as cover in his position ok there's Gillet who can pass but no way a ballwinner IMO. i'm beginning to realise why we were in for Leadbitter and IMO He or a player in the same mould is a must, anyone agree? 8.) He says he prefers the defensive role. I think he's just a normal cm. I think we'll sign holt which will give him some competition so I don't see a big problem.

Think ya right tricky b remember the days of keano and nicky butt at utd worked a treat for them with butt getting plenty of game time but would legbiter come into the squad knowing he mite not be in the starting 11 every match me thinks not so maybe a young raw talent with potential to fill geddys boots in the future any ideas guys? Billy and his coaches and talent spotters have an eye for young players with talent maybe there's someone on the books already in the youth team!
