Can confirm Zola was at Browns in Hockley with his representatives an hour ago:
Source: Posted pic on the Book of Faces via the Nottingham Forest Supporters Page. Make of it what you will!

1.) 26 Mar 2014
That's funny as browns in Hockley has been closed about 4 years

2.) 26 Mar 2014
Maybe he fancies being player-manager! Nearly as old as Greening no?

3.) 26 Mar 2014
picture not up on fb group.

4.) 26 Mar 2014
Browns is in park row

zola int the right man did well at Watford because lophole in loans last season. still dint go up then got sack this season.
pearce hoddle a must.
mackey spent fortune at cardiff on rubbish when they went up

{Ed034's Note - he still turned those players in to a good team, within just a few months. Best team we played last season. He then started this season with hardly any players and has to try and do it all over again. Deserved more time and is my preferred choice

6.) 26 Mar 2014
You sure it was not LLoyds no1

7.) 26 Mar 2014
Browns is now in the ropewalk

8.) 26 Mar 2014
Looks open to me. you guys always think you know best

{Ed034's Note - links to other sites are not allowed, sorry.
Browns is open, but it is no where near hockley. I think that's the point

9.) 26 Mar 2014
Zola would be a great choice right now.

10.) 26 Mar 2014
Iv seen the picture on .

{Ed034's Note - ive seen it too and it does look like browns.

11.) 26 Mar 2014
There is a Browns wine bar in Hockly

{Ed034's Note - only browns I know is bottom of derby road.

12.) 26 Mar 2014
Malky is the man. Cardiff were well clear of relegation in 11th place until Tan sacked the Head of recruitment. He took Dave jones annual failures into a powerful outfit. Would probably have survived if he stayed. They beat Man City, swansea early season.

He made the odd dodgy signing, but clough signed fashanu, Jason Lee, Silenzi etc. ferguson signed Obertan and Anderson.

13.) 26 Mar 2014
I agree Ed, Watford by far the best footballing team last season.

We have the quality within our squad to emulate them.

Zola for me all the way

14.) 26 Mar 2014
Not sure why we would want Zola? Got Watford into play offs with a load of loan signings from udinese. Not proven, not good enough. Great players do not always make great managers.

{Ed034's Note - because he took those loan players, got them playing great football and got the team third. How is that not proven? It was in this division

15.) 26 Mar 2014
All this means if true is that he has met Fawaz - as the other suspects will do.

I sense a split between the non-English speaking players and the rest of team. Djebbour did not get enough of the ball when he came on the other day. Zola for me is the ideal man to unite them through respect, language and good football. There is also the added bonus that we don't need to adjust the desk or comfy chair in the managers room.

17.) 26 Mar 2014
Clough? Signed lee and silenzi? Lol. And i'll have you know anderson is a very fine swing bowler!

18.) 26 Mar 2014
Clough did not sign Jason Lee or Silenzi, they by were Frank Clarke

19.) 26 Mar 2014
But he did sign Robert Rosario!

20.) 26 Mar 2014
On fb the photo says Park Row.

21.) 26 Mar 2014
I think Zola or Hoddle would be good. Zola seems a players manager and a man of the people. Absolute wizard in the game and one of my heroes as a kid, very unlucky to be sacked this season.

Hoddle would be good too I think, I know a lot of people talk a good game, but he really does. He seems desperate to prove himself again and his break should have done him good, just not sure if it would work between him and fawaz?

Is Mackay actually available? I thought he was still locked in compo arrangements with Madtan?

22.) 26 Mar 2014
Ed I'm the original Poster I meant Browns Cafe at the Ropewalk I can send the pic if you like?

{Ed034's Note - I've seen it mate

23.) 26 Mar 2014
David platt signed silenzi

24.) 26 Mar 2014
Frank Clark signed silenzi for 1.8m (first Italian to play in the PL) 10 apps 2 goals

25.) 26 Mar 2014
Your about 4 years out mate. Clarke signed him.

26.) 26 Mar 2014
David Platt joined a few years after we signed Silenzi. Frank Clarke signed Silenzi in 95. Clough did sign a few duffs though to be fair, Fashanu, Gary Bull, Gary Megson, Robert Rosario, but its only a tiny minority compared to the great players he signed!

27.) 26 Mar 2014
David Platt did not sign Silenzi Frank clark signed him along with Kevin Campbell and Chris Bart williams with the 8.5m we got from the sale of collymore. Gazza2969

28.) 26 Mar 2014
Never realised Silenzi had such good stats compared to present lot of strikers lol

29.) 26 Mar 2014
Zola was a world class player which would undoubtably gain him respect and credibility instantly. He has proven that he can manage and play football in the right way with Watford. I also think there would be slightly less pressure on him than Some bigger names because he has less history management wise and therefor less of a reputation to try and live up to. He would a breath of fresh air which would be nice for a change. BUT and the big but is he is more of a risk because of this. Zola has my vote

30.) 26 Mar 2014
Clough signed Gary bannister then to replace sheringham. The point is the same.

31.) 26 Mar 2014
I don't care who signed who 10 years ago!

Ed - didn't Zola get the Watford job and used his "Italian family" connections to get players which got Watford into a heap of financial trouble?

{Ed034's Note - no. The Watford owners signed a heap of Italian loan players, from the other club he owns. Zola just coached them

32.) 26 Mar 2014
That is right Ed, why write rubbish.

33.) 26 Mar 2014
Hello, can somebody confirm which book of faces page the pictures are on please as I can't see them : (

{Ed034's Note - if the op wants to add the pic on here, we have a sightings page

34.) 27 Mar 2014
There is Browns wine bar in Hockley and a differently owned Chain bar and diner neat the Albert Hall.

35.) 27 Mar 2014
Gary bannister 37 games 10 goals, 217 career goals, think he was a free? Not that bad?

36.) 27 Mar 2014
Bannister was great at running as well!

37.) 27 Mar 2014
Ed, I've submitted the pic on the sightings page cheers OP!

{Ed034's Note - thanks
