Telegraph are saying we will target Cloughie if DF goes. I really don't think fawaz and mcgovern should pick next manager.
I love Cloughie as a player but surely we can target a better manager than him when DF goes?

Type if manager forest need.
can sort out the team, he's not afraid to upset the big players and drop them for younger players.
he turned Derby round when they needed it. He built the Base for what that have now.
Hughes, hendrick etc he developed.
he scouted lower leagues and Scotland well. Eg Martin etc.

Anyone who says he's not the type we need is clueless.

Can't help thinking Derby would have been promoted last season if they stuck with clough. He had them going in the right direction, until McClaren ballsed it up. I'd take clough any day.

Really? His attitude is all wrong, lost all respect for him when he was at Derby when he said he would swap all his goals at Forest for 1 Derby goal. Also made some nasty comments in his interviews about his own players and other teams undeservedly, not really the sort of character who i feel would instill a good atmosphere at Forest.

I would have liked to have seen nigel and Psycho work together.

Who are you suggesting then Cannock?
Darren made a lot of sense although Freedman should be given longer in my opinion, nothing won or lost yet.

You know who I would like to see get the manager job? Actually wait. Dougie Freedman. Why can't for once we stick with a manager? In my eyes he's done an amazing job. He's cut the bill to what he wants, he's got rid of the dead weight I. e abdoun etc, and the players he's brought in are fantastic, Olivera, mendes, mills etc whilst being under an embargo! It's not his fault he's got 10 injuries, such as assombalonga and tesche, I'm only 16 but I've been watching forest for 10 years and the football we play isn't bad, there's nothing wrong with it in my eyes. If he had a full squad then I'm sure we wouldn't be having having this conversation to be honest. Why don't the fans get behind Dougie because he's our manager, what's the point of sacking him? Well just go through the whole cycle again and won't get anywhere, ridiculous.

Well said tdog, someone who uses a bit of common and sees the wider picture, however despite all I fear that the next 3 games will decide DF's fate and the never ending cycle will begin again, its madness if he his sacked, let's give a manger at least a season in charge. let's face it Cannock and co will soon want the next one out if it doesn't go to plan.

Tdog
Well said and a wise head, if only some of the normal manager out posters had the same knowledge.

I'm not disagreeing with Darren on what he says balanced. I just think it would be a gamble and wEve had that many managers it might be a gamble too many.

I personally am a fan of rowett which could be argued would be a gamble too.

He is under contract at Birmingham, in a play off position, why would he want to come?

I think df has done well with recruitment and we have a good squad which will be v strong when the injured players come back but there is no getting away from the fact that he has made some odd tactical decisions and has spoken some complete nonsense at times, however I do think we need to stick with him as I don't think we can particularly get anybody whose going to improve us atm - not one of the df out brigade has been able to propose an alternative manager who would improve us and could actually come to us or work in the conditions we are in ie. ffp/fawaz etc. until I can think of a realistic option or one of the 'outers' suggests someone df has got my full support.

The DF out brigade don't choose the next manager. So it doesn't matter who we suggest to you.
You carry on supporting DF no one is stopping you.
Change is needed higher up than the manager. Until then we won't improve.

If it all goes t! t5 up for Dougie which I hope it doesn't I'd like to see us go for someone like Nigel Adkins! He's a top manager and I'd personally love to see him at the CG, whoever comes in, if anyone does I'll still be down there supporting our lads, because they need us now more than ever
KTF people

Yoooooooou Reeeeeeeeds.

Cannock - I don't support df, I support forest. I don't agree with everything df does and I don't agree with everything that fawaz does. Surprisingly I disagree with almost everything you say-mainly because its a constant whine about the club I love with no answers to the issues that you bring up. If you had some answers or at least offered a few options i'd love to read your comments and i'd value your opinion, even if I didn't agree with them but I can't ever see that happening.
