Fantastic play from Forest. Chris o Grady what a debut, that's a proper target man and showed some neat footwork, the man's a beast and looked thrilled to be playing for us, working hard. Oliveira looks sharp, on for a few mins and pops a couple of shots on target, gets the goal and looks like a proper striker. Mendes lively with pinpoint passing, tricky, exciting signing. Vaughn stepping it up. Couple mistakes but overall good defensively and playing the ball around. Excellent tactically DF, well played. Playing as a team with options on the bench - one game, but what a game away from home, looks promising for the season. Buzzing at that, first time for a while seen Forest knocking the ball around like that instead of hoofing it, COYR!

Best we've played in ages, agreed with Mendes & O'Grady, and hopefully will get better when get match fit and create understanding with other players.

2.) 12 Sep 2015 18:44:26
Absolutely brilliant performance today, all over the park!! Mendes, Oliveira and O Grady? Stunning debuts. Felt a bit sorry for Ebecilio but Dougie played a blinder with the tactics. Keep up the good work lads. COYR's

Think Antonios departure could be a blessing in disguise

4.) 14 Sep 2015 14:26:26
Bit soon for euphoria. Up until the mistake from Green we didn't really look like scoring. Think tomorrow night will show how far off the top places we might still be. Birmingham a tough test on present form.

01 Sep 2015 13:44:26
Well Jack Sullivan, the West Ham owner's son still thinks they'll get Antonio in his not very cryptic tweet a few minutes ago.

2.) 01 Sep 2015 14:29:01
He's tweeted that Antonio has signed a four year deal.

3.) 01 Sep 2015 14:33:16
Antonio now done deal. Having a medical at West Ham now

4.) 01 Sep 2015 14:34:28
Done deal according to Jack sul livens last tweet. welcoming antonio on a 4 year deal

5.) 01 Sep 2015 15:00:32
Antonio to fail an eye test anyone?

6.) 01 Sep 2015 15:36:30
Can't see it myself

7.) 01 Sep 2015 15:42:29
That's because you're wearing rose-tinted specs.

Cardiff in for Vaz Te. Source: Talksport

I hope not, I think for the money he would be a good buy for us in the Championship and may be better for his career to be at a Championship club where he is proven and will be a starter. But the lure of the PL is always going to be strong for any player. Anyway it's only a rumour so let's see what pans out.

RedFireNZ

1.) As I said on an earlier post, their agents will just be waiting initially for any interest from Premiership clubs

2.) So Ma Brady phones up her pet poodle Moose at Talk sport bleating Forest are negotiating too hard for Vaz Te as they need to balance the books as the window is closing soon.

So like Lennon at Celtic let's pretend to wind up a bid from a Premiership club to try and squeeze the deal.

Stand firm Fawaz he is not good!

Let's bring in Kevin Keegan, I'd happily watch us score 5 and concede 4. I would love it. yes we'd lose a few but let's see some football.

Nice interview with Dumitru on Forest Player. Seems like a down to earth guy with a desire to prove himself and play for us. Good attitude and he'll do well if he can perform on the pitch. Can play in a few positions too. Good luck Dumitru.

Right I've had a think about it and Burke's sale still makes no sense. 13mil is a lot of cash but such a short term view to sell now, greed is all I can think of. Promotion is worth 100 odd million and personally I think Burke would have made a big difference to our promotion push - that's why Leipzig paid the cash, he is absolute quality, power pace and skill he's got at his age is quality you don't stumble across too often. Fawaz is an out right liar and this is obviously not the first time. Way to go Fawaz, make another manager look like a complete twat by saying he has assurances and Burke won't be sold. Make another promising start to the season and feel good factor disappear instantly by selling a home grown talent who we've yet to see the best of in a Forest shirt. Worrying for the dressing room atmosphere, worrying for Montanier being undermined, I've been enjoying Montanier's brand of football and seems a thoroughly decent guy, but to be honest wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to work with Fawaz. Forest will not get promoted with Fawaz in charge, he does not have the ambition. What message does this send to the players. Fawaz needs to go and quickly, even if you think selling Burke is the right thing, the way Fawaz goes about his business dealings is pure poison going behind people's backs, disgusting behaviour he's done many a time. Bring back some decency to the club, had enough.

Let's calm down i'd like to see you when the real crisis strikes.

2.) 29 Aug 2016 12:56:30
Herefortheforest

The owner gives our manager assurances our star players will be staying and in no time at all one has.

That undermines the manager, it does not do the team any good losing one of their best players, just as the manager is slowly getting things right this happens.

Success on the pitch can paper over the fianchal cracks, but when no success happens because of things like this the financial cracks appear larger than they are, and they appeared large enough before this.

The real crisis, you mean if Britt goes too? Can you not see it's not just Burke going that's riled me up, it's also the statement of lack of ambition this sets, the consistent lies and poor behaviour of our Chairman and the knock on effect to the players and staff. I would not be surprised if Britt went too now, I hope not. I'm calm and behind Forest always, but not behind Fawaz and every right to be angry.

That was a seriously quality goal from Britt against Port Vale. I know it was only a friendly but he's different class, we missed him badly last season. Great to see him getting back to his best, can't wait to see him in action again in the league.

1.) 20 Jul 2016 17:38:01
Yes Red Fire! If he continues to deliver, be afraid The Championship, be very afraid! COYRS!

2.) 20 Jul 2016 19:09:02
Typical goal from Britt, back to goal, quick turn, first time shot. He's got goals in him this season for sure. We have to hold on to him otherwise it's going to be another season wondering where the next goal is going to come from.

I'm feeling excited about the season. There's way more reasons to be positive than negative. The difference is these guys we've got in, Montanier, Perrera, they're used to working in this structure and will work together, it's more common in Europe. I'm glad we didn't get a big name manager, PM has a good track record, brings youngsters through and plays attacking football, what more would you want? PP is a well regarded DoF with good contacts. Time will tell of course, but think we might fly under the radar a bit and do reasonably well as long as these guys can do their jobs. I expect to see some good football, we will lose some games, but if we put in the effort and finish the season with something to build on next season and a well established structure, then I'm happy. COYR.

Has bags of ability and potential, but comes at a price - his attitude could upset the dressing room, no manager has ever been able to get his head in the right place to play football for a season, could PM? In trouble a lot off the field, would be a risk, but could pay big rewards or be a complete disaster. At this stage I'd take a gamble on him if the contract was right I. e. Not a 3 yr contract please.

Pereira didn't have a great game like a lot of them, lost possession far too many times for me. I would have thought Velios should have started last night, but there you go Lars it was. A lot of work to do.

He might be able to reignite his career at Forest, if he can stay fit. His injury record doesn't make promising reading, but clearly PM feels he can get the best out of him. Good luck Armand.

Well Evangelis does apparently have a degree in Business Admin and international relations and experience of running a successful club. Fawaz means well, but think even he knows he needs this. Can't be worse than Fawaz surely. Big summer of changes if it happens, as ever some we will like and some we won't.

Mr Balderston might want to remove "Injury Prevention" from his listed skills under his LinkedIn profile if true.

Good post, will get behind new signings and look forward to a more settled season till the merry go round in January again, but don't trust Fawaz at all, won't ever believe a word he says anymore, he should just be honest in the first place and people wouldn't get pissed off, it's really quite simple but obviously not for him. Correction on your point 8 - Pereira won't be looking for a striker or anyone else under contract because there is no loan window anymore, that was abolished from this season. The only players we could sign now are those who are free agents/ out of contract.

Whoah there Johnny - they already said the club and the council are working on it and are in contact daily. It'll get sorted before season starts, there's still time. With the takeover/ investment, it is admittedly all a bit strange with how it's dragging on a bit, but I'm not overly concerned as long as matters on the pitch are in hand. And with what's coming out and I'm seeing from Montanier and the players, that all seems to be going nicely - that's the main thing. There's always stuff going on behind the scenes we'll never know about and until there's concrete news from the boardroom, just enjoy the playing side of things now we have a manager with a good mentality.

He's also apparently keen on bringing youngsters through. Don't know a huge amount about him but from what I've read he sets his teams up for attacking football, have gone on some good runs being difficult to beat. Just pleased we have a head coach in and seems to have reasonable pedigree with clubs he's managed. We need to get moving with pre season and sort things out so let's get on with it, welcome to the club Monsieur Montanier.
