Liam Trotter has signed and can play this afternoon. Was Leon Hunters inability to bring this deal in the reason for his departure? I thought the deal was dead!

One Internet site suggesting the sale of MA could result in the FFP restrictions being lifted. Anyone else heard anything?

The accounts are sent for review in November but will be end of season before restrictions should be lifted

Copied from a website...

"Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest continue to be subject to FFP embargoes relating to their returns for 2013/14 season. Both clubs will have the opportunity to remove their existing embargo during the remainder of the current transfer window by using any funds raised from player sales to cover previous losses."

Leeds United have had their FFP embargo lifted after submitting interim financial information in March 2015 that demonstrated that the club’s finances are back in line with permitted levels

Clear as mud but suggest we could lift the embargo once we prove our spending is within acceptable levels. The MA money seems to bring us within the regs but it will mean we still have to trade carefully in the coming years to stay within the guidelines.

The lifting of the embargo doesn't mean we can go buying players and paying silly money, it just means we have the flexibility to offer higher wages to a smaller squad or agree loan fees.

Wonder if Karl Darlow is enjoying his time in the big league! Newcastles first choice keeper injured, and he still doesn't make the bench!
A cheeky offer in the summer to get him back?

Brummagum-red

{Ed001's Note - he is injured too.}

Don't need him back.

Sadly, the Villa side this year makes the Direby side of old look like champions league material!

Kieron Richardson is a regular starter in the premierships worst ever team! No thanks!

Would be good cover and makes sense for Dimi to get regular first team action else where. Worked well for Darlow.

Can anyone tell me, are all the acl injuries sustained at home or away or mixture? Is there a problem with the academy turf? Boots?

How DF can come out and claim a goalkeeper error cost us is beyond all comprehension. Not wanting to refer back to Cloughie, or even Fergie at Man U, but thy would NEVER have come out and blamed a 22 yr old debutant for alias of a game after one mistake!
I don't get to many games sadly, but from what I see and hear, he's lost the dressing room, the treatment room is overflowing, it looks like the players don't want it? Something has to give, and while I support whoever is in the hot seat, DF included, sadly enough is enough, it's just not working out for him.
Who to bring in? God knows, Nigel? Maybe Mark Crossley, he's got a great sense of humour, would lift the dressing room, and would be respected too. But bloody hell, not Ian Holloway, we are a laughing stock as it is!
