I read yesterday that Radi and Abdoun have been left at home to make room on the Swedish trip as places were limited and he wanted to take several youngsters. This morning I've just read that Darius Henderson has joined them in Sweden to train and from what I can gather if we don't sign another striker, he's ya man! Ya kidding right? What a Donkey, talk about going backwards!

Totally agree. Would rather give young walker his chance over Henderson - well past his sell by date. Was glad to get rid last time. Backwards step if it happens. but hopefully Maynard will sign!!!

Was going to say the same. You beat me to it! Hardly prolific the first time round. Desperate times.

Henderson is a great squad option given the budget. He always makes an impact in games from the bench and knows how to mix it when needed.

He will add some bite and steel to our powder puff forward line if he proves his fitness on tour

We are a laughing stock. What planet is DF and his advisers on!!!

I no we are in a poor position but Christ this is bad but then again it's not as bad as signing that Taylor so it's swings and roundabouts

Henderson return. This is a huge waste of money. Play walker.

We need a big target man and while I can see the logic of considering Henderson it seems we may well have missed a trick in releasing Halford?

Steve Evans has been extoiling his versatility albeit wrongly crediting him as firing us into the play offs under his best mate Billy Davies.( You cannot beat a Scottish buls****er). However Halford reveals that under Davies he trained all week as a defender and then got picked as a striker which by his own admission did not help with his finishing!

Makes you wonder what might have been had he been training properly?

Also makes you wonder whether our current Scottish waxing lyricist has taken the trouble of properly assessing the squad he inherited before deciding to revisit our bygones?

Who next the waste of talent that is "McGoogone"?

Unfortunately this is pretty much the best kind of signing we can do. And we only have Walker and Blackstock until Assombalonga is back.

And he is only on trial, not signed. If he's really got nothing to offer, hopefully Dougie can see that.

Henderson will do a job on a cold dark Tuesday night in Ipswich or Preston where you need a bit of grit, might even bag a few with some service from Antonio and Twisty Burke, pace down the wings and target man in the middle, not pretty but those games arent.

{Ed003's Note - Are you saying games in Nottingham on a cold dark Tuesday night are any different ?? }

I think we should keep him under wraps to start against those dreadful Derby centrebacks and put Mr Samba at Leeds on his bottom!

I think Henderson had something to offer last time, that was when another, better, target man in Blackstock was injured though.

I personally think it's a waste of money, as he isn't good enough to start and I'd rather we played football on the floor.

Until Assombalonga is fit we have Tyler who is bound to be hungry for goals, Blackstock who can put in a shift when required and Fryatt who, when fit, has excellent link up play.

I'd even rather we played Paterson or Antonio (should he stay) up front than Henderson, was average before and now he's past it.

The only trialist I'd be happy with us signing, again if he can stay fit, is Maynard, as it could be a risk worth taking based on how good he has been in the past. Otherwise, make do with what we have and give the youngsters a go.

Consolidation is needed before we can push on for promotion. With that being said, back DF with whatever he does, but I won't be happy in him overlooking young talent player like Henderson.

Don't forget, we also have Jamie ward. So that is Fryatt, Ward, Blackstock, Walker! If we sign Maynard then that is plenty. By the time Assombalonga is back what chance will Walker have of getting a game?

Time to develop talents like that.
