Doubt it he's not in the same league as our henri!

{Ed034's Note - correct, he is in the premier league lol

2.) 08 Aug 2014

I am afraid not a good friend who is part of the Burnley set up has emailed me this morning saying they are coming after him again.

4.) 08 Aug 2014
Let's hope so eh? Roll on September the 1st! Lol
I think Henri knows this is our season and knows we'll pass Burnley on the way up. . premier league or not Nottingham Forest to Burnley is a backwards step!
Henri stick with us kid you'll be all right

Henri has a choice, go to Burnley for a bit more money and play some PL footy for one season or remain here, get promoted and stay in the PL for the rest of his career?

{Ed034's Note - one good season inside the premier league with burnley, who are not guaranteed to get relegated and he will be in the prem the rest of his career.
by signing for Burnley he has more chance of being a Prem player come this time next season, than he has by staying with us. Like it or not, that is the truth

Lansbury is a prem quality player, so you can't begrudge him wanting to go if Burnley come in for him. If he goes then it'll be one of two things that will happen: he'll make a name for himself with them and they stay in the prem for a extended period, or they'll come straight back down again. Either way he'll be alright as no doubt there will be - by then - plenty of other suitors out there who will have had a good look at his time in the prem. and snap him up.
It's not the be all and end all if Lansbury goes, as I think we are pretty much ok in midfield now, what with Antonio, Reidy, and even Cohen.

Looking forward to seeing how the new boys do on Saturday. I hope we tonk Blackpool off the park!

I remember when Lansbury joined he said something like "sometimes you have to take a step back to take a step forward" or similiar. To me this sounds like someone who has ambition and wants to play at the highest level he can more than anything else.

Thus, it comes down to whether he views the Burnley option as a better stepping stone than staying with Forest for another year or so.

I agree with Ed that because Burnley are already in the PL playing there will be a better shop window for him. The chance Forest have got is to convince him that we're heading there too and that when we get there because we have a bigger fan base and Fawaz's backing he can fulfill all his ambitions with us.

Is the decision up to HL & Burnley?
He has 2 years on his contract so the only decision surely has to be Forests?
If the offer is good enough or they need the money they will sell.
If they don't need to sell then perhaps get another year out of HL and see where Forest are then? If they are in a good position who knows he might stay if not then with it would be worth then surely they would need to consider cashing in. Whatever the case if HL gets in another good season, he could be looking to aim higher (no disrespect) than Burnley.

{Ed034's Note - we all know its lansburys decision, regardless of him being under a contract

Great player if he's fully committed, wouldn't advise keeping him against his will.

Would love him to stay and give us till January, then access his options.

11.) 08 Aug 2014
He sees nottingham as being a little to small as a city so why would he go to burnley if he leaves it won't be there it will be back down south
