Instead of using Davis for the last 20 minutes in the game V huddersfield, if that is indeed the plan, why not let him run their defence ragged for the first 30 minutes, then bring Surridge on?

It's a really tough call and even tougher on Surridge because he's been excellent but Cooper needs to be ruthless and field his best XI.

Davis has to start if fit, he can be unplayable and offers us so much going forward, holding the ball up and bringing others into play. Bring Surridge on later when legs are tired and if we're chasing the game we could even bring him on to partner Davis.

Pretty sure they'll both get some minutes whatever Cooper chooses to do.

the problem is that if we start with surrige and bring davis on with say 30 minutes left plus possibly extra time, what happens if his injury flares up and he has to go off. Best to start with davis and see how long he lasts then bring surrige on as and when necessary.

I agree with you Oakham but it’s a tough call. It’s great to have 2 excellent players for this vital role though!
