Micheal Mancienne is a class sweeper at this level and that is where he should play not fullback,or midfield,round pegs in round holes!

With Lichaj, Hobbs, Mills/ Wilson and Fox at the back it's now becoming difficult to see how Mancienne will be used. DM?

A fully fit Hobbs manchienne partnership would be our best pairing. Licha right back we need a solid left back fox is not it. Overall with Wilson mills pushing for centre back we look strong. Let's hope Cohen gets stays fit for left back.
Holding midfielder and forward i would be happy. Whoops keeper as well

Think that Hobbs and mills will be first choice pairing, but I agree that mancienne is right up there. We desperately need some cover at full back. Going into a season with only two is criminal, particularly the liabity that fox is

Hopefully centre backs should not be our problem. I think Mancienne and Hobbs or Mills looks the ideal pairing: a quick sweeper type who reads the game well; and a strong commanding centre half. However on what we 've seen so far Hobbs and Mills could be effective.

Agree cover at full back is needed, but please let's give a fully fit Fox encouragement and see what he can do this season.

carlo, I could not agree more. From memory, that was the position he played in for Chelsea a few seasons back and it exploits his skills to the fullest.The only other player I think of for that role (other than a fit Cohen) is Tesch. With either of them as sweeper and a combination from Hobbs/Mills/Wilson behind him, I thnk we'd be pretty strong at the back
