This is a translation of the story in the Greek news paper
it says that the green light has been given for the acquisition of Nottingham Forest by by Marinakis!
APOKALYPS!
According to information from the SDNA from England independent authority passes control prospective buyers English teams gave the green light for the acquisition of Nottingham by Vangelis Marinakis!

Called the `Fit and proper person test` it is the safety net that English football has introduced to pass through screening every agent who wants to "run" or to buy a football club.

In short it is a test conducted by an independent authority experts to verify that someone has the necessary skills (legal, economic, and even health issue) to acquire the team in the English Championship and the Premier League (where the criteria are much more strictly controlled and more thorough) .

The results of this test was the last obstacle to the acquisition of Nottingham by Vangelis Marinakis, which according to information from SDNA England exceeded expectation. The opinion was positive, which means a green light for the transfer of the majority of Nottingham Forest stake to the Greek operator.

All thar remains to finalize the deal is some . formalities (does`nt say which) , which are the last details before the signatures for the final transfer of the shares can be made and official announcements made.

Not only for the new ownership, but the coach issue is paramount with three Spaniards in the frame, Mitchell, Victor or Zoulen Lopetegki) . One of the first transfers will probably be Apostolos Vellios.

The current shareholder Faouaz Al-Chasaoui will continue to participate in the shareholder structure of the club with a far lower stakeholding. It is a high business risk on the part of the Greek shipowner with Forest as a group presenting negative accounts for 10 straight years, and debts that reach 70 million pounds. However the transfer has been met with positively by experts as a `bargain buy` because of a perfectly reasonable amount given for a majority stake, the strong brand-name of the club, with great history 2 European championship etc . The lure of rising to the Premier League, which if achieved can catapult the club financially, since the revenues will exceed EUR 200 million.

Very Good let's hope it happens soon.

2.) 23 Jun 2016 10:04:45
Thanks Beeston Red, at least it seems we are getting somewhere, although the lack of information from the owner is frustrating, he could have posted that statement to let us know what was happening it is not giving to much away but it is informative so we carry on waiting😡.

3.) 23 Jun 2016 10:43:12
He probably signed an agreement on confidentially therefore he is not able to talk about it till complete. So that is why no information from him or club. Sounds as if it is all coming together. We would all like it to happen now but let's just wait and let's hope it is sooner rather than later.

Good post beeston red. Oj71, you've got to chill brother, it'll happen soon enough, we don't need any season ticket holders having heart attacks, there's only 7 of us as it is!

How do we know what to believe. I've never known in 40 years of watching football any one club be linked with so many managers. Whole situation has become farcical.

3 points great but tactics only changed because of fans pressure let's see
Basic probs are the club is being run very badly
Companies not being paid, individual contractors not being paid and no
Likelyhood as cannot afford to take club to
Court
Marketing a joke prices doubled no
Take up
Mistakes under FFP still being made after 12 months
Dreadful reputation in the game
If we don't progress in the next few months we will sell players
Fawazs body language on sat was dreadful he was in jeans and tee shirt??
Something is not right
Finishing on a good note attacking football and he didn't close the game up
After we went 2 1 up
All played well only Wilson gave me worries too laid back and looses concentration and Fox didn't play was a big plus

Nooooooo, Fawaz in jeans and a T-shirt? How dare he? Especially when the rest of the crowd was wearing.hang on a minute!

2.) 16 Aug 2015 21:15:05
A lot of assumptions here
how do you know that companies are not being paid,it may be late but they are paid, have you any proof of individuals not being paid,as for not being able to take the club to court there is such a ting as a small claims court, can't comment on marketing as i did not know the prices or to what you are referring to, the reputation of the club and chairman do not even make the top ten worst chairmen in the country so there are a lot worse(just google it)and where does it say that Fawaz as to turn up in a suit and tie did you?

3.) 17 Aug 2015 09:10:24
Lost the will when I got to the fawaz in jeans bit. Get a grip mate

As I have posted before but got castigated for it
Fawaz's body language has changed in recent weeks
Away directors in suits and ties he is in jeans and tee shirt
Is this a good advert for a championship football club he does not pay his bills on time unless you take him to court
And we have terrible reputation in football circles nearly as bad as Blackpool and Leeds
This seems to have come to the forefront this season I have supported his involvement up to this season but have changed my opinion
The ground is decaying is dirty and prices have gone up for marketing etc
Stadium manager released amongst others not a coincidence I would say
I am not trying to be negative but it's difficult to not be
SOMETHING is wrong and happening that we do not know about
Slag me off if you like but I know enough people around the club to believe what I here
