Some of you may remember me from many moons ago. I last posted on here c2 years ago and stopped when I felt I got too much abuse for pointing out what I saw as entirely fair observations about club (as an outsider) . I told you repeatedly at the time to take your rose tinted glasses off. I even told you when he/they bought the club that I had a feeling we could become a Portsmouth MkII. In the next week or so we will probably find out. The reason the rumours are flying around about our players is because (one suspects) Fawaz is considering selling them and thus we are getting offers. He wants to do this presumably so he take that money and then still sell the Club. The asset the Americans are buying is the club, which in reality is largely the players, so the asset will fall in value. One could argue that it would have even less value as the chance of us progressing on the pitch is materially reduced without our better players. I've no idea if this takeover will happen but a few points to make: don't assume it will happen The Americans may very well pull out Going into administration following a disposal of players may actually happen on a 1-2 year view in my mind if the deal fails. the losses are astronomical and there is no clarity on how they will be reduced Exclusivity means nothing re selling players I'd guess. that can almost certainly still happen and Fawaz (and family) remain the legal owners and have every right to do so See you the other side (I hope)

"Don't assume it will happen" why not? Just as likley to happen than not despite the delay, why not be positive? If Fawaz sells all the players he might as well call the deal off so if that is his intention why doesn't he just do that instead. Makes no sense

You mention about telling people repeatedly, there in was your problem. People neither want/ like to be told repeatedly bad news, even if that news is true. Did you try reasoning as to what you said was true, or did you talk down to people.

I used to agree with most of your post as they in the main intelligent observations, but in this case I believe you are wrong as no assets can be sold during a take over, also the comments on here are ridiculous, the fans seem to think they can put a time limit on it, talk of money going into Fawaz back pocket, I'm not defending him but we were in a transfer embargo not long ago because his family was bankrolling us to spend more than allowed!

Redtel, stellar point well made mate. We keep hearing his allowance has been stopped but the reality is he was stoped from bank rolling us. Doesn't excuse the mess he's made but there is no evidence to say that the backing wouldn't have been enormous if FFP didn't exist
