Things have not gone smoothly since our latest owner took over, that is down to the owners naivety.

He came in thinking all he had to do was splash the cash, and the rest would take care of itself.

He thought the infrastructure of the club was sound, and all he had to do was tweak a few things, get a big name manager and success would follow.

As for the club losing money, he just thought once we got to the Premiership companies would be falling over themselves to throw money at him, and we the fans would fill the ground every home game.

When he approached the council about buying The City Ground he thought that they would buy into his charm, and ambition and sell for a reasonable price.

Once he got the council to sell, he would got more seating put in job done, sadly running a football club is not that easy.

From what I've heard he's looking to sell the club as soon as possible

Does anyone know how much the club pays per annum to lease the City Ground form the Council.

The trouble is river he thought we were a sleeping giant and that the great and successful would be queuing up to spend his cash to 'put us back where belong'

Do we belong there? Did we ever belong there? One things for certain it will be a while before we ever get there, more likely to feel the tug of the league one spectre - very negative I know but what is there to. E positive about.

He should have done his homework before he pulled the trigger on SC. The facts are no one wants the job - it's poison. Freedman is the best we could hope for he fills me with dread not hope.

Even warnock 'who always wanted the job' ran a mile. I guess with a back catalogue of clubs such as : Scarborough, sad pies, Plymouth, Huddersfield, sheff Utd, QPR and palace we were always going to struggle to pull of such a coup. enough said really.

Agree 2star. The guy had never seen SC's team kick a ball before he sacked him.I would like to think the City Ground will give SC a good reception when he brings his Bristol team to us next season. I also believe SC has a point to prove to Mr Fawaz so I can't say I'm looking forward to the game

Let's face it joe we could write the match report now couldn't we.

All that needs to happen is sc signs a couple of the players we've released and we could probably write the micro detail as well.

If we could predict the lottery numbers as easily as the outcome of these kind of games we'd all be quite rich.

It will be a hard league this season as I think the teams coming up are as strong as any three in recent times.

Few points will separate the bottom half I think.

Fawaz is a fan and what a load of nonsense . Fawaz woud have seen the cotter team play . How many people invest millions before doing their homework.

Get off freedmans and fawaz 's backs. Give the guys a chance. Do you see anyone else offering to take over no. Fawaz and his family saved our club and ok he has messed up , however he is prepared to continue to invest in the future of nottingham forest.
Does everything in life run smoothly? I doubt it. What is with all this negative crap. We still have a owner who god knows why continues to invest in our club.

We have I belive a manager who has a good footballing brain. We have some excellent players , we have made some positve moves to strengthen for next season under may I add fp. We have a excellent fan base. We have a lot of positives.

Only Cyprus.

As you said yourself mistakes have been made.

What I was stating was, those mistakes have been down to naivety, how is that negativity?

Others have just said what is needed to improve the situation, like the owner getting experienced people to run the club without their hands being tied, like Faulkner. How is that negative.

Fawaz wants to keep his hands on the reins. He needs to hire people who have experience and let them do their jobs. Does anybody know what the role is of the guy who came from Stevenage, whose name escapes me!?

Fawaz need to pull all his friends and family out of any running of the club.he has put people in charge of things that they should be in charge of.get them out and get people in who no the English way of things.let them attend games and all that but get them out of the club then and only then will we start making any sort of progress.
As for warnock well he's a bleep.he moaned saying how he would be in control yet the manger that took the job had full control.

Better qualified than you or I. Skeg . River oak my post was not directed to you. You never mentioned x manager cotterill. Who I agree was not given a chance. However for reasons un known to us fawaz wanted a change. I also re call on this same forum fans/ posters calling for s od to be given the boot. Now fans are saying he shoulkd have been given longer. Why anyone wants to own a football club is beyond me.

Fawaz has been good for Forest in that he saved the club from administration, but his mentality is all wrong when it comes to running Forest. Fair enough he trusts no one where his money is concerned. It is his money. However there was no explanation when he got rid of previous staff who ran the club, neither have we had a real explanation why the last CEO resigned. He does not like other people handling his money, which in itself is strange. Forest will never be successful under Fawaz he does not have any long term plan, and just thinks throwing his money round will bring success. The best thing for all concerned is for Fawaz to try and sell the club. But who would buy it. We are under an embargo with FFP. We rent our ground. How many top teams do that. It has all gone quiet with trying to get Category 1 status for the Academy, and we have average players on big salaries. The future is not bright and DF is no messiah. He will not last a season.

I still stand by my point no proven manager wants the job.

Warnock bleep - agree, facts are though he legged it once he smelt the coffee.

Freedman - only time will tell. Let's hope he surprises us, most fans if they're honest and truthful have grave concerns at how the performances fizzled out last year.

can anyone strongly argue that when FAH brought the club he thought attracting good managers would be such a struggle ?

As for the owner - absolute legend and saved us from a commercial abyss, it doesn't mean we haven't regressed in structurally and achievement wise.

Will we all still back the club - of course we will.

Will the owner still be here if we struggle again?
