Happy days the sheep cannot beat 10 men. Just shows injuries cost us promotion.

"Are you watching, Nottingham? Yes we are. haha

Injuries did not cost us promotion, one person cost us a play off place. It was always play offs at best and you need luck in them

Why do some Forest fans still think we could have got promoted, when all the evidence indicates that person was hell bent on destroying the season.

A good end to a poor season on and off the pitch.

{Ed034's Note - disagree Richard. Without the injuries his head wouldn't have gone

The point I have tried to make for a long time, is that injuries or no injuries, it was how he was behaving off the field that was doing the damage and it will remain opinion whether we would have made the Play Offs or not with BD in charge. His head was gone way before the injuries.

It is does not matter now. So is it possible for retrospective comments about what might been, without the injuries, to be removed. What is beyond any doubt is that BD is gone and good riddance.

Can we stop talking about BD and last season. I don't raise it, I only respond to people raising the "if we didn't have injuries question".

{Ed034's Note - before the injuries hit we were in a good position and looked like we could push into the top two. Yes billy was an arse, but you cannot deny we looked good. Like all teams we had the odd bad result, but we also had good ones. We looked guaranteed playoffs and possibly more. No team, not even man city, could have handled our injury crisis.

I havnt checked this but i'm pretty sure if we'd beat Burnley we would have been 2 points behind them and well in the mix for automatic. It all seems a long time ago now though doesn't it? I'm so looking forward to next season!

I agree that we were in a good position, but we were not convincing. The comparison with Man City is a non-starter, Man City have quality in depth and could field a second team that could finish in the top six of the Premiership.

Injuries or no injuries, BD's team selection and tactics were odd to say the least. There were also question marks over his training methods and decisions to bring players back.

But defeats away to Barnsley and draws at home to Doncaster showed just how poor he was. We still had enough on the pitch to win the games.

{Ed034's Note - take out the best back four and best midfield three and they would struggle.
We were top six comfortably and we were being talked about top two, then in juries hit. Whether you think we were convincing or not is a matter of opinion. I think were looked it, you didn't, but you cannot argue that before injuries we were comfortably top six

Still nobody is asking the question why so many men were injured. I suspect BDs training methods and instructions to players on the pitch played a great part in this, and it's something SP will need to analyse and deal with.

8.) 26 May 2014
If it was BD's methods and instructions why will SP need to analyse it and deal with it? Its in the past and pretty much irrelevant to the new regime -I did question BD's training sessions and methods but i'm sure SP's training will be spot on and not influenced by little bill one bit.
