Good performance. Showed some very good stuff today and looked in form. Derbyshire gave us a clinical looking edge with that goal. Lansbury was phenomenal, solid back five. Only thing that disappointed me was the slightly defensive mentality second half, looked like we were happy to try and hold a 1-0 win which is risky. On the whole though, we're looking good and on the up. Shame who's in the top two but we will catch them!

Nearly got caught out by that equaliser. Good job Derbyshire went up the other end and scored an absolute stunner. Maybe that will add a few bob to his fee or keep him at City Ground!

He did well in preseason for us, given his chance today and took it, think he deserves a chance, a run of a few games and see how he does. Unless Billy already has his mind made up to let him go. Onwards and upwards we go! COYR

{Ed034's Note - I don't see who you would drop for him??

Drop. Majewski and give?Derbyshire a run?

{Ed034's Note - drop majewski and bring in either Vaughan or chalobah

I actually thought we were to attacking in the second half constantly leaving three up top. It was abundantly clear the only way they were going to score (apart from defensive calamities!) was from getting the ball wide and balls into the box for smith, who actually did well for them.
They clocked on a bit in the second half that there was lots of space down the flanks as abdoun and mackie weren't tracking back and they looked more dangerous. I would have much preferred for us to have gone 4-5-1 in the last 20 mins and played on the counter

Thought chalobah looked good again when he game on and for me I would have played him instead of radi who Adds very little in my opinion. Chalobah has started to look more his old self the past few weeks and I still reckon he could contribute hugely if he stays. Quality on the ball and looked good going forward today. Him and Lansbury and Reid could be a quality midfield.

I'd quite like to see Chalobah and Vaughan hold with Lansbury in the free role. I can just imagine Mackie, Abdoun and Lansbury switching round causing havoc and helping Halford out. That leaves Reid though who has played better last two games. He does seem a bit sloppy at times though, left a few passes short early doors today. Lansbury is immense as was the back five. Let's hope this form continues.

{Ed034's Note - am I reading that right?? You are critiquing Reid, the player who has ran the last two games?? Our midfield in the last two games has won us three pints and you are saying you want to see different. There is no way Reid nor Lansbury should be dropped, so that leaves one shirt, which surely has to be Vaughan.

Wow, Reid is the first name on the team sheet for me. The midfield certainties are him and Lansbury. We then need a holding DMC, like Vaughan, then one other attacking MF like Abdoun, Mackie, Majeski etc. Reid offers so much, set pieces, experience, a killer pass, work rate, leadership etc.

For me the team play mirrored the QPR match with Forest midfield and strikers closing down, winning the ball back and making some great passing plays.
Leeds were trying to put their foot in and slow the pace of the game down but Forest matched them physically which bodes very well for a charge up the League. Mackies touchline tackle in front of A block on Pearce was as good as Psycho in his pomp.
Abdoun does track back and harry but is never going to put his foot in like the others. What he does do well now is draw in defenders, create space for others and makes some great runs that the others are not yet playing him in on.
This team is only going to get better and I can see us winning this league if we can maintain this level of performance.
Good use of subs today to counter Leeds trying to exploit space out wide with their substitutions.
We will win at Reading
