Another rumour in the bird site physco wants Samaros from Celtic didn't Pearce take him to man city?

I do think a lewis grabban and connor wickham would be a likely prospect. To replace derbyshire and tudgay.

Not to do with this rumour but I can see nigel pearson coming in with bids for one or two players in the summer lansbury and jamaal being two who spring to mind this maybe pearce first real task to keep these guys at our club

Imo were only 2 half decent strikers from a top 2 finish next season, relied too heavily on Reidy and Pato for goals this season. Mackie works hard but no cutting edge.
Look at Burnley, take away Ings and Vokes and they would be mid table at best.

I think he may be a good squad addition and give us some experience, need a good mix of young and old I think.

Samaras is defo not what we need I have watched many celtic games and he blows hot and cold to often for me. I can see a bid for wood off fester infact a bid for a few of there players that won't be needed

Far as I am concerned he can get rid of all our strikers and start afresh. They have all been awful all season (except Miller against Yeovil) and the substitutes v Watford.

I have said for months that Tudguy should at least have a chance. You can talk about work rate all you like but strikers have to at least shoot at the target before they can score. Look at the stats at shots on target and then look at how many of them came from out so called strikers. We have a very talented team when fit and play some attractive football but it's the end result that counts. I don't care who we get but we need a couple of strikers with the ability to run at defenders and get the shots away. We also only have Reidy and Lansbury prepared to try the odd shot from range. Is it the style we have been playing or the fact that players like Cox and Derbyshire just are not good enough.

Samoras fell out Sven at Man City, he is only 29 but his goal rate for a striker is poor Ojthered
