Bird site suggest Jenas is after finishing his career at Forest. Free agent and will be fit in 2015

F.A.Wazz

1.) November 2015?

2.) Cant see that happening somehow. He's a bit injury prone and needs to rediscover some form or somehow re ignite his career. Although I hope he can find club as he has a few years left as a player. Good luck to him!

3.) Don't think we need injury prone players looking for a final gravy train contract, sorry JJ.

4.) Na. You're alright thanks

5.) He was suppose to be back from injury in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and now 2015. lol

6.) Sounds like someone sniffing for a contract.
I could actually see this happening.

7.) Serious question. Has anyone ever seen Jenas have a good game in his whole career?

8.) Jenas has signed a 2 year contract with the BBC as a pundit on football focus and MOTD. I don't think he'll be playing again for anybody.

9.) I saw him have a few about 12 years ago

10.) I've heard he's a good influence in the dressing room. I wouldn't mind seeing him sign a pay as you play contract. Solid squad player and his experience might just help during a tough run in.

Not sure if this qualifies as a rumour, but we are quiet at the moment and hopefully Ed will post it. Is there any truth in the previous rumours that Darlow and Lascelles have a clause in case Newcastle get relegated/us promoted? At the moment there is a decent chance of both!

F.A.Wazz

1.) No doubt there'll be certain clauses in their contracts but a very much doubt this would be one of them. Would make no sense from Newcastles point of view. They won't get relegated anyway.

2.) I think the rumour may have been wishful thinking on my part but surely the players agents should have considered the possibility. My "joke" suggested we gave the moNey back after our promotion? and we pay Newcastle enough to cover our loan of the players concerned - many a true word spoken in jest! We are top and they are struggling so who knows COYR!

3.) I can't imagine that it is true. I can't see Newcastle agreeing to it.

4.) Suppose feasable at the price they paid for them both!! Hilarious if did happen, would love to see the look on that thug Pardew's face!

5.) We have first option for buy back. That's what the clause says. Effectively the terms of sell on fee would reduce any amount we have to pay. Interest would be added only to the transfers.

It was reported recently that we found a loop and took full advantage. Fifa and the FA are looking to close the loop.

Fawaz has spoken. Discusses sale of Lascelles and Darlow, potential sale of Lansbury, FFP and sponsorship. I think if we can keep Henri and get a sponsor we can sleep easy again. Just hope Psycho see it the same way

F.A.Wazz

{Ed034's Note - yes. we have offered Lansbury a contract and it is now up to him

1.) SP just been on tele. a learning curve all round. him and Fawaz still ok, we move on, let's get the team ready for the season. nuff said

2.) He has also added a second comment saying that he and Pearce work as a team and not behind each others back, this seems a little bit of a contradiction to me given what SP said in his interview yesterday.

3.) Where have you seen this?

{Ed034's Note - it is in fawaz's statement

4.) I still think the expense of getting a CEO in would far outweigh the benefits in terms of having someone to get in sponsorship, work on marketing, negotiate the best deals for players etc. Surely someone has told Fawaz this and the longer it is left the more rash decisions like this transfer will have to be made to meet FFP requirements.

Every fan will believe Pearce above Fawaz so to say that he was aware after what Pearce said last night is a lie. If he got someone in to do this work for him there would be no need to lie directly to us fans and only fuel more arguments and disruption.

5.) 05 Aug 2014 15:35:28
Right or wrongly to people worldwide different cultures have different ways and means of management & lifestyle , what might be considered as cut throat / bad mannered by the Englishman may be considered normal in Asia, South America, Australasia, The East even other parts of Europe even Scotland or Wales. Either Fawaz has got to adapt and change (but he is a successful business man so why would he? ) or Stuart Pearce along with many people involved in the game today, will probably have to except this is how it is going to be in Modern Football, under a foreign businessman owner. A classic example is Cardiff City under Malaysian owner, Vincent Tan. Even Clubs such as Manchester United & Derby have had run ins with their American owners over the years, yes for far less outrageous than some other foreign owned clubs but still big differences of opinions. If you want the money and a pop at success sadly it is the only way you can compete in most cases & most big business where ever are cut throat anyway. Right or wrong a business is what every club has to be now.

6.) I think Lansbury may have already decided by rejecting the offer made to him.

He is an integral part of the team and one of the best we have but is not irreplaceable, admittedly it would be difficult.

If Henri can man up and come out publicly and says he wants to go then so be it, get the best money we can for him and move on.

If he wants to stay then sign the contract and prove he wants to be here.

I would like for him to stay before anyone says anything as he is one of the few "core" players we need to have week in and week out on the pitch playing for us.

I applaud Fawaz's statement and honesty contained therein but I just feel that this rollercoaster hasn't come to the end of the line just yet.

Buckle your seatbelts Forest fans, keep your arms and legs inside at all times because this ride is going to get bumpy!

7.) I accept the statement and it's offers the clarity we want. It does clash with SP account a little though hope that son cause to much friction. As for Lansbury ifs he's been offered a new deal not much more the club can do, hope he stays but if he don't want to then we are better off without him.

8.) Very well said by Mr Fawaz, I have the greatest respect for him and what he wants to achieve with our football cub, its never an easy job and what ever happens he will always get abuse from the miority of persons out there. Keep up the good work Mr Fawaz, I'm 100% behind you and so should all of the forest fans

9.) Fawaz has said nothing. Firstly about stabbing SP in the back, and secondly about sponsorship. In Fawaz I do not trust.

{Ed034's Note - he said pearce knew discussion were taking place and has said if a offer comes in, he will look at it re the stadium.
what were you expecting??

10.) This statement is all over the place. What it does appear to say, however, is that - under current conditions - we're a selling club, with the development set-up being for the benefit of the bank balance rather than the betterment of the first team. It also sounds like someone - either SP or FAH - isn't being entirely honest about how much people knew about the recent sales to Newcastle (I also read that KD and JL were offered lengthy contracts in the knowledge that FFP was looming but that we no longer feel we're in a solid enough position to honour those deals).

Lots of talk about respect and building a brighter future, little evidence to back it up.

11.) We are still losing 10 million a year. somthing has to give. SP not happy because he said he could have sold the two for more. we are not a massive club. we have spent far too much in the last 10 years. it can't go on like this

12.) Whatever reasons are given in his statement are inexcusable for not keeping Stuart up to speed AT EVERY STAGE OF THE DEVELOPMENTS. Stuart should not have to hear from a player that they are off for a medical! Fawaz should have been honest with him - I tend to believe Stuart's explanation on the sale of these players. A trusted man with much integrity. The fact that he is going to continue as manager, despite being undermined by the owner, is a measure of the man he is. I wish him all the luck going forward. I think he is going to need it. Forest will survive, but I am not sure, we will still have the same owner next season if we don't get promotion.

13.) The statement makes little sence to me. a few months ago fawaz said we will be retaining our youth. now he says we must sell to sustain the football club. he also says SP has his full backing financially and new additions will be made however wouldn't that put us back at square one needing to sell players to "balance the books". There is no mention of the CEO he said was coming in which would massively improve the way the club is run day to day. and there is absolutely no clarity around the sponsorship deal. questions not answered, more questions raised.

{Ed034's Note - because he was trying to tie up a deal for sponsorship, which has not yet been finalised and he needs to balance the books for the ffp. Makes sense to me

14.) It makes sence that he says one thing and does another. he says he will get a CEO but doesn't, and that pearce has his full financial backing but we must sell to balance books?

{Ed034's Note - he is actively looking for one. Pearce has his backing but he does have to balance the books. glad you now understand lol

15.) @pjnormal: A smart businessman does smart business and doesn't get into anything he doesn't fully understand. He also learns from his mistakes (and the mistakes of others in comparable situations) and employs people who he trusts to take care of the things he's inexperienced with.

I suspect FAH expected everything to be a lot easier and a lot more glorious than it's turned out to be so far but I strongly suspect on the available evidence that a lot of that is down to his own personal style, which is at odds with much of the above. I'm not interested enough in how he acquired his fortune to know the full ins and outs but his methods don't translate well to this situation. Owning a football club in the modern age is about financing debt for the most part and, while all his talk of big investment appears to show an appreciation of this, the reality is that he can't get the returns he wants (and we were all sold on) at current levels. I feel (have for some time) that, in many ways, he's out of his depth but that's only a bad thing if you don't know how to address it and I don't see him doing anything other than settling into a cycle of managing the fall-out of well-founded doubt and critical reactions to his stewardship by paying lip service to everyone's hopes for the future.

16.) I am honestly behind what Fawaz is doing - he's a businessman first and a football fan second its fine. We can't keep expecting him to pour his money into this club forever he needs to balance the books and if that means selling or reducing wage expenditure then yes he should do it.

Pearce obviously knew this was going on as he stated that he gave recommendations of prices for the players. The amount of money that has been reported for these players to me is exceptional for any championship club and even some premiership clubs.

Fawaz has stated that he is looking to bring in more players which is a positive. In Fawaz I trust.

COYR

17.) Lets look a the bigger picture here. Yes 2 young players have been sold by the club and yes there was a lack of communication between Stuart and Fawaz. Now for the positives. We now havesaid 2 ngsters for the coming season and have had some waes spared up in the process so that is a gain. That said amount of wages can go towards bringing more depth and quality to the squad which you have all said we need whilst still balancing the books. If we do go up then Fawaz can put more money into the club and if we don't we will still be complying to FFP.
Am I the only person looking at the bigger picture???

18.) Seems like Lansbury wants to move on to bigger things, if a premier team is giving him the chance right now then that's his decision.

The real worry I have from the statement is that it would appear there is no firm sponsorship offer at all yet, let alone the crazy amounts being bandied about. Makes me think the kitty is getting pretty low if quick sales are being made.

Maybe less optimistic than I was last week but let's see eh?

19.) Fawaz needs to look at everything the club does money wise, if the new sponsorship talks are still ongoing he needs to make decisions now, Most fans will be moaning if we received hefty fines and a transfer embargo next season for not meeting the ffp rules. If the new sponsorship deal comes in later in the season we will be in a much better place. It hurts me to say this but Derby have been getting ready for the ffp rules seasons ago, we have chased the dream to be in the prem for years and if Fawaz had not come along we would be in the same position as Portsmouth so let's back the owner.

20.) 05 Aug 2014 18:03:19
Lansbury has been offered a contract that we can afford with FFP- take it or go!
We have to abide by the rules and no matter how much Fawas has financially- he can't just shove in to forest!
Naming the ground and sponsors has to be carefully sourced- Fawas is a business man (and a very good on) with a lon
Ve for this club so all he does is in Forests interests!
He has to work in the rules!
Lansbury will want to play in the premiership- who can blame him? We are not there and the championship is a lottery so if he's offered-, he will rake it no matter what contract we offer him!!
We should all now back Fawas SP and the team- gent in with it!
We have no Devine right to do what we want!

21.) At least we can understand the reasons for sale of KL and JL. However, if the sponsorship was in place then this would not have happened.

Given previous reports, the sponsorship with Kuwaiti Government does not look to be in place and probably will never be, hence sale. FFP does not come into effect until January so Fawaz must not be confident of securing the deal.

What is important now is to get a sponsorship deal sorted for the forthcoming season and hold on to our best players.

22.) Lots of people saying that FAH or Sp must be lying. The way I read it FAH says SP was aware of the negotiations, SP says he was consulted.

We've got 2 more keepers and maybe KD back on loan. We've got plenty of CBs and JL back on loan. Hopefully some money for another striker or midfielder or both. When NUFC go down and we go up it'll seem like a great deal.

23.) 05 Aug 2014 19:13:20
Nat Jackson has spoken Fawaz and he says our finances are fine He is putting £2m a month into the club. We have had winding up orders but been paid off

24.) I for one feel a little more at ease after the statement, yes disappointed but definitely more understanding of the situation. The way I read it is with the sale of jl and kd in the form of the present deal, it appears we will be in a cost neutral position when we spend the 7 mill on a couple/few players. With regards to landsbury, if he is even considering going and has not taken a deal on the table then he obviously isn't showing the commitment that us fans want. Good player but if their heart isn't in it they soon become average. The sponsorship isn't really a surprise, the figures mentioned were disproportionate to a championship club as most of us thought but it wouldn't surprise me if they were correct as an offer when we won promotion. Hopefully fawaz is plugging the financial gap between now and then, knowing bigger things are coming. Clear some space both player wise and financially so we can get a more balanced and lean squad. Keep the faith everybody fawaz is not going to flush his money down the pan.

25.) As I have been trying to tell everybody just because we have a rich owner doesn't mean we can splash the cash, i'm not happy about the money e are getting for DK and JL but if it balances the books so be it

26.) Fawaz says we won't be paying any of JL or KD's wages this season. That is equivalent to about another 2 million which if you add to the reported 7 offered seems more reasonable to me.

{Ed034's Note - it's around £1.5m I believe

With Taylor and Carvalho leaving, Lolley not fit for 90 even when not injured, Mighten injured and not yet proven in the Championship. Silva has potential but is not there yet
Does anyone else feel that we really need at least one, preferably two signings this window?
Would love both of Wallace and Bowler to push for 2nd spot but think even play offs are far less likely if we get neither
My gut feeling is that we wouldn't have let attackers leave without something being lined up, any thoughts?

F.A.Wazz

1.) 28 Jan 2022 20:59:35
A couple of good signings would be great. However we are still strong enough to push on for promotion.

Keep the Faith.

2.) 28 Jan 2022 21:06:31
Taylor has left, Carvalho is dragging on anything can happen there, we will not be signing both Wallace and Bowler.

If we want to sign any decent players we need to stop offering hundreds of thousands for players that would be cheap at 1m.

3.) 28 Jan 2022 21:30:23
With the present squad keeping Grabban fit is key. He's the only natural goalscorer we've got, but he's 34. I'm sure Murphy/ Cooper are scanning for a replacement, whether that happens now or in the summer is all about availability. I think we've enquired about Wallace and Bowler in case Johnson leaves. I was surprised we have let Figs go, leaves us a little light at the back bearing in mind Ely and Soh has hardly kicked a ball all season. But I trust Cooper, he seems pretty calm about it all and has said he is prepared to promote some of the under 23s if needed.

4.) 28 Jan 2022 22:09:06
My feelings too. We need to make the most of our position and run of form to get a couple of decent signings over the line. Could make all the difference come the end of the season. if we have to pay a bit extra now then we might avoid what happened under Lamouchi.

17 Jan 2020 08:14:20
Andre Gray a possibility apparently. Would be perfect for us in my opinion, get Murray as well and that's 3 top strikers.

F.A.Wazz

1.) 17 Jan 2020 08:50:19
Watford have said he's going nowhere.
Just more paper talk.

2.) 17 Jan 2020 09:15:55
Gray is staying put.

3.) 17 Jan 2020 11:16:40
Gray murry and freeman. would be ideal
Get it done mr marikinous get rid f calvalho Semedo silva and get these 3 in. We’d catch Leeds and West Brom.

12 Aug 2016 23:37:28
Britt likely to be off to Crystal Palace due them only having one fit striker in Connor Wickham. Expect Campbell in return as part of the deal. So long play offs and any short term hope.

Believe it when I see it but. Pearson is new bookies favourite, last chance saloon for Fawaz if this happens.

No chance even Colin Cslderwood would say no.

I believe we are going down this season. More than that. This club is in massive danger of being the next Luton Town. Fawaz is a clueless fan with good intentions. We are in one hell if a mess .
