I have heard from an ex-red whom I talk to on bird site that a manager has been appointed and that the takeover/ investment is in the final stages of due diligence.
This particular manager also wants the Greek striker and sees him as a similar striker he once had in the championship and now plying his trade in the premier league.
The manager is supposed to be Garcia and Vellios = Ulloa.

I posted this days ago - deal for Garcia is done, 3 year contract, things happening behind the scenes but no announcements until later next week when the deal is likely to be authorised.

What an absolute joke this is becoming. The news now is that the Greek deal is nowhere near completed and the FA are waiting on a load of documentation from them, including proof of funds. Still no manager. Still nothing from Fawaz or anyone in an official capacity at the club. New season getting closer each day. Competitors who were managerless sorted out in a matter of weeks. This does not look too clever.
