Any news on Forest getting category 1 status for the Academy.

I was wondering that the other day! My research on line said that it is reviewed every two to three years, the main difference being operating budget needs to be £2.5m and an increase ratio of coaches to players moving from 1:10 to 1:8. I would expect our status to change back end of next year at the earliest.

This was a topic talked about with Paul Taylor online. He seems to think we are a little behind with the requirements needed. As the previous post says, the investment alone is substantial and then we still need more staff aswell. But Faulkner is impressed with the training facilities, and makes you think when we get promoted, he would see if financially, can be done. From what I read about our training facilities, does it matter, as it sounds like to be the best grade 2 anyway. And football people know we have some of the best youth coaches

Saw the interview with the new CEO on the Forest player. Comes across really well and it's exciting to see someone who will push the commercial side more and he has many valid points about the basic foundations the Reds have. That'll definitely help with the academy status long term. We are an exciting club and our commercial prospects are far stronger than many EPL teams if we can just get there.
