Rumour that Kelvin Wilson won't be fit for start of season out for 5-6 weeks any idea if this is true ed?

{Ed034's Note - not seen it, but Pearce confirmed it on forest world apparently

Just watched interview on forest player and yes Wilson 5/6 weeks calf strain.

3.) 10 Jul 2014
Better keep JL then. Real shame about Wilson by the time he gets back it will have been almost been a year, hope he's still the same player if he ever gets back in the pitch : (

4.) 10 Jul 2014
He is starting to become a bit of a liability and a waste of £2.5m I know some will disagree but its one injury after another.

5.) 10 Jul 2014
Great!! The man was never fit the last time he played for Forest. So Wilson, Hobbs, Lascelles not fit for the start of the season. Centre back pairing Halford and Collins. Onwards and upwards.

6.) 10 Jul 2014
Another reason not to sell JL!

7.) 10 Jul 2014
May it not be an idea for the likes of Blackstock, Cohen, Hobbs and Wilson to be seen by a top specialist to ascertain if they will recover fully to continue their careers. If not then Forest and the players concerned can move on. I am not being heartless but the needs of Forest must be paramount.

8.) 10 Jul 2014
I think that it is time we cut our losses with this fella and get rid, I bet Celtic are laughing their heads off

9.) 10 Jul 2014
I feel that he gave his best at Celtic, Imo we won't see much of him this season due to injuries

10.) 10 Jul 2014
What is Forest world Ed?I can't find it anywhere.

{Ed034's Note - the official sites video stream

11.) 10 Jul 2014
The great Bill Shankley said never let a player's legs go on your park ,i think Lennon took a leaf out of his book with Kelvin (albeit back)âš“

12.) 10 Jul 2014
Can't see anything about it on Forest player

13.) 10 Jul 2014
Why don't we wait and see if he recovers from the calf strain? His back injury is obviously sorted.

If he comes back late august and can stay fit for the season we will be better off for it. He is a quality centre back at this level.

14.) 10 Jul 2014
I thought early last season that Wilson wouldn't play again and I still can't see it. He's finished.

15.) 10 Jul 2014
I posted the other day that Hobbs hasn't fully recovered either. Selling JL now would be even more of a mistake now.

{Ed034's Note - it's not like we are going to sell him and not replace him

16.) 10 Jul 2014
This is what will happen with Wilson he will be injury prone again until last 6 months of his contract start playing again then leave for free.

17.) 10 Jul 2014
How long is Hobbs out for?

18.) 10 Jul 2014
I told you back in April that Wilson MIGHT have to retire. And that was from the man himself!

I'm pretty sure KW's last injury was his back. This is a calf strain so I wouldn't say he's dead and buried yet. no need to panic just yet

20.) 11 Jul 2014
Senior players. I don't agree, we must have one of the youngest squads around, Reid, Henderson, Vaughn, Collins, and Wilson being the elder outfield statesmen two of wich may not be around much longer, 31and 32 is not that old for players who maintain their fitness levels, and they bring experience to the table, 1 year contracts for both IMO,

21.) 11 Jul 2014
I can't believe what i'm hearing, the guys got a calf strain he will be back. Forest fans can be so fickle at times GaaaawdenBennett!

You often find with long term injuries that a secondary problem occurs as part of the rehab. After all those months resting, professional athletes take time to fully recover their all fond fitness. Be patient. I think he's a class act.

23.) 11 Jul 2014
He was out with a back injury and now it's a minor calf strain. Hardly the glue factory is it??

24.) 11 Jul 2014
So much for medicals
So many crocs last season and it appears to be continuing this. Hobbs, Wilson maybe even Lascelles already.
