RIP Henry Newton, a Forest legend, and a big family man. I believe he was Nottingham bred, so sad to lose another home grown talent.
I also remember hearing his leg break, thought someone's rattle had broken!
Thank you for the memories, Henry!

He wasn't Forest through and through, though, RTK. When he finished playing he was a long time season ticket holder at the Baseball Ground and then down at the newer Sheep Dip. But he was a good servant for us and did make the England squad for Mexico along with Ian Storey-Moore.

Bordeaux, mate, I didn't realise he'd made the 1970 England squad with ISM. I've looked at the 22 and can't see either of them (although Keith Newton, the Everton right back, is in there?). Perhaps they were in the original 28 man squad and whittled out before the tournament?

Stokey, you maybe right, bud. I remember singing in the Trent End, "Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to Mexico, with Ian Moore and Hen-er-ee, hi ho, hi ho" etc etc.......
