Now that McClaren has got a coaching job at QPR, perhaps he'll persuade 'Arry to take his proteges Derbyshire, Miller and Greening off our hands. {Ed034's Note - why do people call greening. he does a decent job when he comes on, is fantastic in the changing room and his experience is worth having him at the club

I rate Greening, on his day he can be tremendous. His chances have been few so he's been inconsistent. He can still do a job for sure as cover.

£15k a week is expensive to just have in the changing room making tea, surely the kit man can do that for £250 a week {Ed034's Note - so you have ignored what he does and made up a role for him, just to have a dig

Ed, I was under the impression we play out there on the grass not in the changing room. I'm sure he's s decent bloke and a good influence but with all the midfielders we've got (even without Lewis now) can we afford highly paid spectator like Greening? {Ed034's Note - so players just turn up, get given a position and go out and play do they. the changing room, the atmosphere behind the scenes, having people who have been there and done it to talk to, players who other players look up to, players who bring the individual players together to make a team, all count for nothing.
Football manager is a great game to play isn't it

I'm sorry but that guy is right, with FFP coming in we cannot be wasting 15k a week on a player that can't even get in the squad just for the experience. That could pay for 2 quality young players wages. I will absolutely hate Mcclaren because of what a mess he has left us in with these overpaid league 1 players. The only exception is Reid who I still think was so inconsistent last season, he had some great periods where I thought we couldn't do without him and then long spells where every delivery was dire. Also his free kicks and corners are frustratingly easy for the opponent to get rid of. Mostly his corners just float into the box but he barely ever let's anyone else take one. {Ed034's Note - i am happy with greening in the squad and think he will help this season, including on the pitch. I am not saying he is essential, I am just sayong I can see what he brings.
i suppose we will just have to wait and see.

Eds got a good point. Having a good atmosphere around a club for the players creates positivity. that makes players want come back/stay e.g sharp if only we'd sign him

6.) 03 Jul 2013
Have to agree with Ed. Greening is a decent squad player/member who, when, played in the correct position has a solid impact on the game.

7.) 03 Jul 2013
Sorry ed, you are off the point here. Otherwise let's hire a comedian to go in there. What`s Canon and Ball doing these days? {Ed034's Note - that's just a stupid comment

8.) 03 Jul 2013
Do you not agree with me by any chance ed? Surely you agree he's slow and he will never turn p with a goal {Ed034's Note - he is slower than our othe players, but no difference in pace to gillett. i would rather get rid of gillett and keep greening
