Just heard from a reliable friend that Lee Camp has been spotted at Proact Stadium in Chesterfield. He's in need of a club, but my how the mighty have fallen.

WayAheadRed

1.) :-) The grass is seldom greener! Can't understand how he turned into Billy Big Boots anyway? Good keeper that I was sorry to see go, but I wasn't sorry to see the attitude that he developed over the last 6 months go with him. MattC.

2.) I can confirm this also.

3.) I think that camp going was one of the best thing for this club in years, because we have DARLOW. much better! COYR

4.) Guys an absolute idiot. if you look back and remember him saying forest aren't an ambitious team and he was forever moaning what's he got to show for it now, he's got a huge mouth for what is just goalie he should of just cracked on at forest deserves him right

5.) Well the rumours are of infidelity in the dressing room

{Ed034's Note - that has changed from a practical joke, to know this. just shows you how rubbish this is

6.) I said to fellow season ticket holders near me last year that Camp was our problem and that he complained all the time.
Much better attitude from Darlow and the lad deserves this wonderful opportunity to shine. As for Camp TOUGH.
L/boro Red

7.) 21 Aug 2013 15:07:22
Haha unlucky campy lad enjoy your league one football

8.) Tommy lee number 1 keeper at chesterfield campy bench warmer ha ha (forest1865)

9.) Chesterfield are in league 2 not 1

10.) Heard rumours Hull were looking at him but that may have been before they signed Harper and with him as back-up and Mcgregor in such good form can't see why they'd want Campy.

IlsonRed

11.) Yeovil were desperate for a keeper last week, I was half expecting him to turn up there

12.) Tommy lee is a better keeper camp will be on the bench at chesterfield if he goes there

13.) Camp was always to small to be a top flight keeper for me. He would have been found out very quickly I think

14.) Think people are a bit short sighted though tbh ED. He was top class for forest throughout his time with us even when he did have the hump. show the lad some respect.

{Ed034's Note - he did very well for us, but I am glad he has gone. I honestly think darlow is better than him already

15.) If camp is looking for a club, i've got an old 5 iron he can have.

16.) Shilton couldn't be described as tall, size isn't all that and a bag of chips if you're good enough. Smaller keepers are usually more agile than taller ones and taller keeper are usually better at taking high balls into the box however, smudge could take a cross if it rolled to him, thus dispelling the above assertion, which means if you're good enough you're tall enough

{Ed034's Note - '.....and a bag of chips'??

17.) Best thing McLeish ever did

18.) 6ft 1 is to small?same size as Shilton. and 2 inch shorter than Joe hart and one of the best keepers of all time in the top league, Peter schmeichel!

19.) Camp was good for us, sorry his attitude changed but not sorry he left.

As for Shilton, he was tall enough and a big bloke but he was the best goal keeper around for a long time, so even though he was a man mountain he could move like a cat in goal :)

20.) I believe the best thing Mcleish did was leave swiftly. We have had some crap temp appointments in the last decade. Name em!

21.) Megson
Pratt
Atkinson
Joke in 'ere
McLeish
McLaren
Clot terill

All of the above appalling in their own right! Looking forward to Sunday's game COYR

Cotswold ReD

22.) He played extremely well for Forest at the beginning and no one can deny he had a cult following.

Unfortunately there were many reasons why his attitude changed and one of them was a couple of Premiership Clubs were interested in him and he was denied the opportunity to speak to them hence his change in attitude.

He has always had an attitude mardy boy and you only need to look at his former clubs to see that he started off at them brilliantly then 'bump' attitude kicked in and cheerio.

Like many have said the grass isn't always greener.

23.) Personally I think cotteril (sp?) deserves a little slack. Came in, did his job, went. Could have been worse. Far from the worst that's been through the club.

24.) I was in the academy at derby with him and he had a chip on his shoulder then as his dad was worst always arguing with the coaches if he decided to play grant instead of his son he had a good season and a half at forest and his form dipped after he started playing for Northern Ireland but after billy left he proper spat his dummy out

25.) Saw Lee coming out of a coffee shop in Bridgford late afternoon. he was sporting a beard!

26.) I have included Clot terill because if he had remained in charge, without SOD involvement, we would have been playing in League One again. Admittedly the man had little to work with (money wise) but he is a League One / Two Manager at best. Sorry, just my opinion - I didn't have much faith in him and by all accounts, neither did the majority of the dressing room. Ed, thoughts on SC? Or move on? :-)

Cotswold ReD

27.) Sorry but cotterill doesn't know which end of a dart to throw let alone how to coach/manage a football team

28.) I know someone who used to date him. Bit of an arrogant big head by all accounts. Not done him much good professionally it has to be said.

Expect another Fawaz tweet today.

Source Jim Price.

Bids have been placed with 4 clubs for players, one really close. We will continue to pursue players who add quality to the squad.

Squad numbers sent to league today, expect confirmation later.

WayAheadRed

1.) Mackie signed 1m
Abdoun signed 2m

Good bit of business but I think there are so many better players than Jamie mackie but ooo well hope he comes through and a success but tbh the way billy has started Derbyshire. I wonder if he's the big man?

2.) So many better than Mackie, not in the championship

3.) Some good business done. Wish we kept Lewis and signed ward and Jackson on freebies then had 1 more stellar signing. Invincibles part 2

4.) What's wrong with Mackie young excellent striker what's your beef?

5.) Wow some people are never happy. I for one feel great. some peoples memories are so short, since fawaz has arrived there's been a real buzz about our club, compared to the previous 10/12yrs this is heaven. at last we seem to be going in the right direction

6.) I agree. great owner and great manager. as fans let's also now do our bit. coyr

7.) How do I find this Jim Price geezer on the bird site. Brings up a load of them

Any help appreciated {Ed034's Note - if you are following me, go on my list

8.) Just be happy for Christ sakes for what's happening & enjoy it, surely better than 18mths ago? stop wanting things yesterday!

9.) I'm not following you on bird site ed wits your name? Can't find Jim price! Coyr {Ed034's Note - message me yours and I will find you. not allowed to promote twitter accounts so I will just delete the post you send

10.) Ed don't think I am following you. wahts your id {Ed034's Note - if you send me yours on here, i'll follow you and not post it.

11.) Ed follow me please mate Michael cooper the euro cups are my pic {Ed034's Note - cant find you. what is your twitter name???

12.) He doesn't say anything about more Farwaz tweets today; he dos say about squad nos going in today

13.) Yes he did. A lad called Simon page asked him
"could we expect another fawaz tweet soon? #NFFC"
& Jims reply was
"I think tomorrow"

14.) 27 Jul 2013 13:00:00
Note to Ed - could you add me on twitter so I can follow you back if I don't already have you.
Cheers -MickCarroll...on twitter. {Ed034's Note - done

DeVries deal finalised after succesful medical.

WayAheadRed

1.) Just read its stalled as he wants assurances of 1st team football

2.) Watched forest since 1966 all I can say we was promised a stellar signing if we can't get a striker who can score 20 goals we can forget about promotion billy and the owner know this so don't let me hear mr davies moaning when we aren't scoring goals it the same thing last 3 or 4 seasons

3.) Rubbish {Ed034's Note - which one?? Op or comment??

4.) De Vries couldn't sign, he kept dropping the pen!

5.) Well he can have them then!

6.) "I've been watching since. " Most overused embarrassing comment. If you was really watching from 1966 you'd realise how good we've got it and patience is important. Grow up and stop moaning god

7.) In reply to 'watched since 1966'no disrespect sir but, 1) There is plenty of time left in this window 2) there's a different owner and set if people running the club than 3 or 4 season's ago but and a big but 3) due to. financial fair play, we can just go. and spend millions or squids on a player, we have to make sure we don't spend a a lot more. than we. make!

8.) On the os now so it's official could work out to be a cracking signing we just need that striker! Maybe a centre back too but a 20+ striker priority

9.) To the moaning fan who's watched the reds since 66, and I bet you've moaned every season since then so stop your whinging and get behind fawaz and billy and by the way I've been supporting the reds since 1962 so cut the crap

redgaz

10.) Cardiff and Hull finished 1 and 2 last season; neither team had a single player that reached double figures.

17th place Blackburn had a bloke who scored 27 and cost £8m.

Now, which model should we follow?

11.) Watching since 1966 then he deserves a littlemore respect guys es seen more glory then any of us put together maybe he just remembers the old days that's all {Ed034's Note - tuts rubbish. Jut because someone's older than you, doesn't mean you have to respect them if you think they are wrong.

12.) 03 Jul 2013 19:26:07
To eds reply on last one always respect your elders not just in football mate come on youth and everyone has a opinion {Ed034's Note - I know everyone has an opinion and just because a person who is older than you has a different opinion than yours, does not mean you have to respect it purely because he is older.
Ps I'm 33 youth and I understand everyone has an opinion, hence why I add comments on here that differ to my own

13.) Cardiff, Hull & Blackburn related post. Great point, very well made. Although a 20+ striker would be nice!

Phil.

14.) Still think get sharp bargain at what they want for him and should get 20 with right service and taking his chances, COYR!

Jake

15.) I am the supporter from 1966 had to do overtime to go 2 away games from Skegness Yeovil southend colechester fleewood ect 5 -6 hours on a bus so I will have an opion {Ed034's Note - and if you want to air your opinion, you are inviting people to reply. It doesn't matter if you are 20 or 120, we are all forest fans

16.) Agreed it was a well put post!
We need to finish top of the league who cares who scores the goals

17.) Lets just get behind the current crop of players, can only see good times ahead. !

18.) I've been watching Forest since 1952, considering the financial rules, I think were on the right track, people still do not seem to understand we cannot spend millions on players, while Billy as spoken about stellar signings previously, I can't remeber him saying it since he came back, we have a manager that knows his job and a passionate owner who has put millions into the club, be gratefull, if we can add another striker all well and good

19.) Then you lot criticizing him, no moaning if we are not scoring and the heat is on billy. We all know we need a prolific striker

20.) We need a striker get rid of Derbyshire tudgay miller get sharp in and you who keep harking on financial fair play we can't do it with the wages as low as they are and the crowds we get mcgugian was a low earner no wonder he left

21.) Suppose (in the eyes of the league)it would be hard to throw money about before we signed a sponorship deal?

That might alert people to the fact the deal was a bit fluffy and was already known about because we'd already started spending the cash!

Lets hope we can get a decent deal done and start making a few signings? Have to say that when I look at some of our current players I'm not filled with confidence. I actually see more who could do with leaving than staying!

22.) Depend on a single prolific striker at your own peril. Big money will turn his head. Or an offer will turn someone else's. Remember the team of 10 men and Stan Collymore. Remember Honkytonk and Campbell. Better to have quality service to a succession of forwards as BC demonstrated.

23.) Ed. The guy has been watching since 1966 so he has seen many things that we haven't Euro cup, League title he may be a little more impatient than us we are used to not having success. Hence give him a little respect, however you are correct we are ALL Forest fans so let's stick together :-) {Ed034's Note - I respect the guy I do not respect his views, there is a difference. It irrelevant how long he or any fan has been following us, if I think there view is wrong I will say it.
I was born June 80. It is not my fault I wasn't alive to see us conquer Europe.
You don't get respect just for being older than someone else.
I'm the biggest believer of us all being in this together and being positive. That is why I think the poster is wrong. He is giving positivity, yet he's getting respect just for being older than you or me.

24.) If we had one of those two now for just two years we would get back in the prem and be excited at the same time. we as a club have just been going through the motions since they graced our turf. real have been dependant on a certain ronaldo for three years. defenders stop goals strikers win games

25.) I've been watching since 1884, so you can all shut up!

26.) I have followed us all round Europe and up from Div 2. I disagree with the guy. No body deserves respect, you earn respect.

27.) To the poster making comments about always respecting your elders - nonsense! - does that include Stuart hall, mick philpotts, etc etc.
people earn respect or command it from there experiences and achievements, not simply for existing.
I'm taking the point massively out of context and to the extreme, but back onto forest, a young fan posting his opinion is just as valid as a veteran of the last 30 seasons. We are all fans of this club and all want to see us going forward in a positive way. Whether we agree with others opinions is a different matter and what makes the site interesting. Be bugger all to argue about in the boozer before the game if we all thought the same about the club.

Keeno

28.) Back to the point about sharp being a bargain. Maybe he is if he is integrated into a team that can all ready provide great supply from the wings, but if you don't have that and it costs 6 million on top of what you pay for him for two quality wingers he is not that cheap. If you can get a striker for 4 to 5 million who can create more of his own chances is that not better?

29.) Wingers will create more opportunities for strikers to do their job. When did you ever see Gary Lineker having to go out wide like Cox does to get the ball in the middle? Players played in the correct position and doing their own job well is the key to success.
I don't think we're far from what we need now. A solid left back or centre half should do nicely.

Not a rumour, just a general observation.

The team at the moment are outstanding with everyone working for each other & have been pretty much all season - with the odd blip here & there.

We have taken apart all the top teams and made them look pretty ordinary. All the so called prolific goal-scorers in this division have been kept at bay by our midfield and defence, even when it's a makeshift back four like yesterday.

A little bit of extra quality up front and a bit of good fortune regarding injuries (we've had our fair share for this season) and we should be at least in second spot come the end of the season. Leicester are about ready to crumble like they usually do on the run-in, took them 87 minutes to break down a Leeds team the the Owls ripped apart last week.

The future's bright, the futures Garibaldi.
COME ON YOU REDS!!

WayAheadRed

1.) I agree with the op but i'd just like to had, how refreshing it is to see a young talent (pato) so composed in front of goal and placing his shots instead of blasting it like most try. Happy days, u reds

2.) Well said op. 100% agree. The excitement and ambition is growing given recent happenings and it has everyone beaming. The feel good factor is definitely here and it's hard to keep grounded. Our chairmans perfectly timed booster address to the masses, another three points earned in highly impressive fashion and more incredible positive post after positive post, ed you must not know yourself with all this positivity around you lol:-).
Ro red.

3.) No reason why we shouldn't be top two by the end of the season. I still think we need to keep hold of vaughan and bring in a striker and full-back. Moussi and Harding are not good enough and a few extra goals never hurt anyone. Also - DO NOT sell our most talented players!

02 Aug 2013 18:56:23
Watching East Mids today interview with Billy in his office. Formation plan on office wall shows 4-3-1-2-1 formation. Looks like we'll be playing a diamond, which personally I like. Just hope everyone is up for it & we start with a great statement of intent with an emphatic win tomorrow.

COME ON YOU REDS!!!

WayAheadRed

{Ed034's Note - also looks like we are playing with 12

1.) Or 4 in goal defo believable the amount of good keepers we have got

2.) It had 4-4-3 on it.

On his desk though was a piece of paper with what appeared to be a 4-4-2 line up on it the names appeared to be on it but you obviously couldn't see them.

{Ed034's Note - you didn't see my name did you??

3.) I think a number 34 was playing at left back actually.

4.) If that doesn't confuse the oppersition.

Danny Graham, 1 goal in 18 games we've got half a dozen strikers like that. We want one who can actually put the ball away regularly.

Have to agree with Ed. Greening is a decent squad player/member who, when, played in the correct position has a solid impact on the game.
