I see George Syrianos has been reinstated on recruitment. There must be empty seats on the deadwood stage. He didn't exactly cover himself in glory last season

Please someone please sort out this player recruitment team, I think it’s the only thing thing that would stop us progressing as a club. Like the head coach it’s been crying out for some consistency for a while. We made some good signings last year and sometimes we’ve got an owner who over reacts like some of us fans do. On balance the recruitment team were probably hard done to in being sacked last October, a little patience was maybe needed because as it turns out, they hadn’t done so bad had they?

It wasn't Syrianos who signed Shelvey. Syrianos signed Niakhate, Awoniyi, Henderson, Williams, Aurier, Gibbs-White, Lodi, O'Brian, Toffolo, Richards, Boly, Biancone, Kouyate.

Syrianos wasn't responsible for signing Shelvey, Richard's injury, O'Brian loan, Biancone's injury, Henderson's injury, Chris Wood signing, the Toffolo fiasco etc.

Syrianos worst signing was Lingard, but at least it was a free transfer and was always a gamble.

Basically, those signings and the loans of Navas and Felipe kept us up. Unfortunately, we are now lumbered with Wood and Shelvey after his sacking. That is what happens when you don't give things a bit of time to settle before making snap judgments. At least the Owner admits when he was wrong, unlike the moaner above.

I don't think Balloons even knows when Syrianos left. He didn't even sign 30 players last season.

Forest, thanks to Cooper and Marinakis, are in the best place they have been in 25 years or more. The City Ground is buzzing and we love Cooper.
